5 year old Annie, adopted from shelter as a 2 year old [arrived at shelter as a 2 month old kitten stray]

When we adopted Annie 3 years ago, one of her eyes had issues. Watery, squinting. We were told allergies.

Over The past 2 years with Annie and now we are realizing it, there is something more of an issue going on with her eye. It becomes brownish, reddish[blood?], 24 /7. Some days it looks worse. My cat shows no signs of being in pain, full of energy ----i am aware that can be misleading when a cat has a health issue.

Going to bring her to a vet. However, i live in a rural area, there is like 1 Vet for every 5000-1000 people. And the Vets are overwhelmed so they are now using Interns to see cats. Long story short--Not a big fan of interns.
So going to a Vet but would like to get some ideas what may be going on. I understand it may be very serious health issue.

Brown Tortie. Female. Short haired. Muscular small frame
