It was a really great day..we only had 3 vets (one had to leave early) but we only had 1 pregnant cat and around 18 kittens. It's always great to get these kittens spayed/neutered. That is 43 fewer breeding cats.

That is SO wonderful, what a great accomplishment! <3
Congrats on all your hard work (and on the vet's hard work!)

That's wonderful news. 43 cats is a lot for only three people to do...congratulation (to both them and you)!!

congrats !!!

the numbers seem endless don't they ?

so do you work at that clinic or are you one of the ones bringing in the
43 cats ?

i remember that you periodically post the large number that the clinic
does on any given day and always wondered if you were one of the
trappers or if you worked at that clinic ?

do they/you ever trap a friendly cat ? do they return the friendlies where
they got them from or what do they do ?

I volunteer at the clinic. As far as friendlies go....we don't get that many. If a cat is friendly but it is intact and has no identification, we will still fix it and perform an ear tip. ALL cats are eartipped.

It's a pretty exciting time right now:

WASHINGTON, DC – Alley Cat Allies and Washington Humane Society have formed a partnership to launch the regionâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s first low-cost spay/neuter center to serve the entire DC metropolitan area.

The new facility will be able to provide services to at least 75 animals per day and will play a crucial role in sterilizing and therefore controlling the reproduction of stray and feral cats through Trap-Neuter-Return.

The new location is supposed to open on Oct. 4th. We are unclear whether that means that the clinic that I volunteer at will continue and if so, for how long. I do know that we will have our clinic in October.
