This is awesome! If it's just arthritis, there are medications that offer relief.

Also, if it is arthritis, that may be why she stumbles sometimes but not others. She may be more stiff at times due to weather and posture.

Thanks for sharing this! :)

Thank you sarthur, it does give a good amount of relief.

And i havent noticed her stumble the last two days but will keep an eye on her and def a lot of things to bring up to the vet now next month

Unfortunately i just woke up to simba throwing up :/

It was his wet food with no blood or anything.

Then i saw him go and take a big poop and it looked normal no diarreah.

Then he went to go eat immidietly.

So maybe he had food poisoning or something and thats why he wasnt eating? o_O

Geez ... you guys can't catch a break!

He had something or other upsetting his tummy for sure. Let's hope it has run its course and he's good to go now.

Yeah I know :/

I keep thinking well maybe im making things a bigger deal than they are but then something happens and it reaffirms my fears :/

He seems okay now laying on bed with me slow blinking at me.

Very lovey as always.

Hopefully just had an upset stomach.

I wont raise alarms unless i notice him throwing up again within the next two days.

I appreciate all of you here at thecatsite!

Thanks for your replies.

So my male cat Simba is still not eating much for some reason.

Every meal he will take a few bites and then walk away. Ill follow him with the plate and get him to eat a few more bites but thats typically it.

Not sure whats going on with him.

It seems to have happened right after his meds ran out.

He mostly sleeps, but doesnt hide, usually somewhere near me.

Hes thrown up twice total in the last 4-5 days, one time it was biley.

Yesterday i mixed a tiny pinch of canned salmon with his food and he ate more than normal but still not his usualy self amount. He has the nickname fatty for a reason and so its odd that hes not gobbling all of his food.

The only thing i can think of if its not medicine related is that he misses his dry food but vet said absolutely no dry food for him.

The Bupronex is an opioid. It works great, but he may have had a bit of withdrawal or stomach upset after it was stopped. Just a thought.

If that's what it was - and it may not be - it should be out of his system now.

I almost think you should put him back on his old wet and dry food and see if he returns to normal tummy-wise. If he does, then very slowly transition him to new food.

This morning i tried to give him the old cd food and he barely ate again.

So at lunch and right now I gave them the applaws tuny version and he LOVES it and ate the whole bowl

Im excited that hes eating. When I came home he asked me for food again which he hasnt done for a week :/ im used to him asking me multiple times a day so it was nice to see him go back to that today.

The only problem is A) applaws isnt complete diet and B) tuna isnt necessarily good for cats.

Where do i go now lol

Thank you all again especially you sarthurr!!!

This is good news! For now, feed him what he will eat.

I have had cats who only eat tuna wet food and they have lived 18-20 years.

I think the main issue is that he eats wet food instead of dry.

Sorry to not have updated in a while.

Been really busy with work.

Nala has had no issues at all relating to falling over or anything with her hips.

Simba has been urinating like normal.

Both have started pooping less since being on all wet food diet, not sure if maybe im not feeding them enough.

Poops are tiny and kinda dark but I think they are still okay.

Today I noticed Simba is having a hard time pooping and threw up a few times.

But I did use the vaccum which they both hate and I have not used in a while. Although he was in another room.

So not sure if he is just stressed and constipated a little but or something else going on.

Also not sure whats up with this but the last couple hours he keeps going to bathroom alot trying to poop, I can tell by his stance and I saw him pee in between all of this.

He sits there for a few seconds and also starts to lick the air/smack his lips.

Its really weird.

He has thrown up a total of 2/3 times.

Anybody seen this type of behavior before?

Hes also not eating the last couple meals.

He sounds sick and needs to see a vet. Smacking his lips means nausea.

He needs fluids. Try to get honey water into him with a dropper. He is probably dehydrated.

Can you take him to the vet? He needs medicine. He may have a urinary tract infection (UTI).

How much wet food do you give them?

He eats only wet food right now.

About 6-9 ozs a day

I don't think its his UTI flaring up because I saw him pee a good amount today, and he is def squating in poop position. and have not seen a poop today.

He goes there every 10 minutes or so right now and throws up right after.

Now there is no more food to throw up so he just threw up white foam.

I can take him in the morning.

Do you think this is an emergency situation I can take him to a 24/7 one but cant really afford it.

I can try and get some water down his throw with a syringe I used for medicine a while back.

You think I should mix honey?
