2025 Feline Birthday & Gotcha Day

I'm starting a new BIRTHDAY/GOTCHA Day thread for all our wonderful cats who are celebrating their special day.

Beginning January 1, 2025 please post your cat's Birthday or Gotcha Day here so we can send our best wishes to them. Please feel free to tell us a little something about your cat and post a pic or two if you would like. Looking forward to a New Year with many wonderful birthday celebrations.

Ozzy!

We know that Ozzy was a few months old when we adopted him in August of 2010, so we arbitrarily picked January 1 as his birthday.

He got some Meowijuana spray and a catnip toy, and his favorite treats.

Mr. Fluffy Fluff, or Fluff for short, joined me on June 3rd. He is an ex-colony cat with a clipped left ear, from the mean streets of South Central Los Angeles, who spent three months in foster before coming here. He's "around 2" which fits his "terrible twos" demeanor and "teenage boy" boisterousness PURRfectly.

*Fluff and his tail, which has a PURRsonality all its own and does double duty as a swatter of inanimate objects and the servant (me)*

At the time, our other cats were indoor/outdoor and we were getting Ozzy used to our house and neighborhood so he could start going out, too. These days he and Mowie are indoor only.

Mr. Fluffy carved some new holes into my leg at lunch today. I thought his claws were somewhat blunted, as I'd clipped them just a few days ago. NAH. Little scimitars, kneaded with LOVE.

It's Tux's 11th birthday (at least the day I picked based on his age when we caught him). The vet figured he as around 9 months old when I caught him in October 2014. He was the first cat I caught with a cat trap, and also the hardest, it took about a month to catch him. We finally went all out and soaked newspaper in canned tuna water juice, lined the trap with that, and sprinkled bits of tuna leading to a fresh can of wet food in the back of the trap. Tuna is still one of his favorite things, and my husband has been trying to win him over lately by giving him a small amount of tuna water when he opens a can of tuna. He is never going to be a cat that enjoys being held or pet, but he enjoys playing, getting treats (and food in general ), and happily hangs out with us and begs for food when we make our meals.
