I got their toy out. Ten minutes later Daisy's lost interest, been off for a snack, and is now watching from a distance. Phoebe's been playing with it the whole time.

I've never had a lot of success with battery-powered plastic toys. They are interested in investigating, initally, but lose interest quickly. Fluff likes the tried and true da Bird and other wand toys, and his Yeowww! catnip banana best of all.

This is the first one I've had success with, but it's only the second I've bought. First was a mouse that was supposed to run around on wheels. But it only worked on hard floors, and only ran a foot or so. Phoebe would carry it around sometimes, and Daisy - the one who needs exercise - wasn't interested. She's also not interested in red dots, and has decided playing with her Da Bird only requires rolling around on her back and catching it as it goes overhead.

Today would have been Carleton’s 9th Gotcha Day. :rbheart: I feel so many emotions thinking about him and the day 9 years ago that we adopted our cherished boy. There are so many times we wish he was still here but we only have memories. Memories of how sweet, affectionate and loving he was to us. Always happy to be in the same room where we were, sleep by my side and greet us at the door when we came home. One day we will be reunited and when that day comes I can tell him we’re finally home. :hearthrob:

YES. I empathize 100%. Carleton was such a handsome, sweet, dear one! I am feeling the same about my beloved angel Elvis, too. Cats have loved me and been loved by me all my life, so there are many to look forward to reuniting with. Elvis was, is and will always be VERY special to me, a blue/cream velvet prince.

Yesterday would have been Ruby's 10th Gotcha Day, so I know how you're feeling today, remembering the joy of the day you brought Carleton home, the memories of all the years he spent with you, and wishing he were still here today. Maybe, he and Ruby, and Elvis too, have met at the bridge and are playing like they were kittens again.

Oh, I'm pretty sure that ALL cats and kittens who are at the Bridge are together and that the 'nip and 'vine are potent! ;) 🌱🌿
