2024 Christmas Decorations

It's quite cute! I love it!

Along with baking fruitcake I am setting out the various seasonal ornaments. Each year they are mostly in the same place, same collections. With small differences. Anyhow, this year I cleared a bookshelf and have a vignette of tomten, fox, book. (There's also some rabbits, a deer, a Swedish type horse I painted.)

Many many years ago when we lived in Connecticut my father made me a tomten. Over time I've had to replace his hair and beard, and Himself made him a nicer base. But the tomten, his leather apron and felt hat are the originals.

A friend gave me this book, with an inscription that says I'm the only one she knows who has her own tomten.

Just got the first things out yesterday. The clear trees have lights in them so very pretty st night.

I don't think I'll be putting up a tree this year, with super climber, Pretty. But here's a Christmas pic of her that doesn't involve a tree.

My decorations don’t change much from year to year so these are probably similar to what I’ve shared before. There are more things but this is a good portion. I need to move the tote in the foyer still too. Also pardon the boxes of science lab supplies next to the tree. DD has been busy.
