Got 2 new male cats in residence today, both fully black like salem, approx 6 months old.

still hiding away atm bless they have had a stressful day and dont think the are used to noises from children. I wll hopefully get some pics tomorrow when the house it quieter.

i know people will think im mad as iv got Honey bengal who is looking approx 40 days pregnant plus the rest of my tribe! but i think with out fosters in the UK many shelters would have to shut down or staff would be working solid 24 hour shifts!

Will keep you all updated with their progress, apparently their names are Bert and Ernie "/ haha x x

I hope you had them vet checked, and or hold them in quarantine for some time.  And dont let them meet her before everything is ENTIRELY clear and safe with them!

I know very many breeders are helpful for rescuers in some way.  Some, few, even themselves participate in rescuing. But in these cases ALWAYS, ALWAYS, with double or even thrice safety precausions.

Look also on this this way.  "For Ceasars wife it is not even allowed a shadow on her reputation".

So it is also for a breeder and her "products".

I know storms against breeders here in Sweden who got such a shadow on them.

I also know a case here in Sweden, where a rescuing breeder accepted a couple rescuees, because the shelter bade her, and vet did check up and gave OK...  She didnt bothered to give proper quarantene - they were vet checked!

but the cats had matted furs... and deep inside, they had still lotsa of fleas... the whole flat, breeding queens and everything got flea ridden... They also turned up with cat flu.  The queens and kittens got also this cat flu form them rescuees...

She was forced to shut down her breeding and sell what was possible to sell...

So, doing the work of Good and Light is splendid, but it must be done prudently and with lotsa of common sense, especielly when you have also others you must protect.

Good luck!

They are in quarentine,i have a 'safe room' which i use for cats i take in. They are going for vaccinations next week and then they will be allowed to have more freedom around the house. I wont be socialising them with my other cats anyways as theres no point upsetting my bengals as i dont think the foster cats will be here long as they are so sweet lol. Also as they have come in a pair they have each other for company.

dont worry i know what im doing
