this is breaking my heart so bad i can't even concentrate at work. My Zelda, is a snowshoe kitten that was born two months ago and was the last baby out of 5. Her mother has gotten pregnant 3 times in the pandemic with no vets in my area that were doing any spaying. She was always the smallest one and always sleeping compared to the others she didn't like to play as much as the other 4. fed 11 she had her first seizure lasted maybe 20 seconds and looked very sleepy after that so i called the vet and took her right away to the emergency room. My baby only 1 lbs and 8oz went in and they did some tests and blood work. 600 bucks and 2 hours later we got a call saying everything turned out okay with her tests and she didn't know why she was having them. prescribed her some high proteins foods and said to just watch her and if they get worst to be careful she might get some brain damage. after no luck with the vet, She still continued to have at least one a day for the next 3 days with them getting longer than the previous attack. i went and bought her a medication on chewy that cost about 50 bucks to help with seizures. it worked for maybe two days she wasn't having any, then in the middle of the night i heard her screaming. the same scream she does after having one :( i woke up right away and found her on the floor drooling and breathing really hard. i mixed her food with the medicine and she was chopping away at it like she never ate in her life but was having a hard time walking and would start bumping into things in the house and would walk right thru her water bowl or food sometimes..now i think she is blind from the attacks. i was calling the vet every single day until they stopped answering. the last thing she tols me was that cats live years like this and for us to just make her comfortable. i called about 3 others but they don't consider this as an emergency so they kept trying to give me an appointment and the soonest i could get one is march 8th and honestly i don't think she will make it before her appointment. 3 days ago she has 5 in one day, and yesterday when i got home from work i found her under the couch soaked from her drool and piss and also feces which i never seen her do while having an attack. i took her a nice bath cleaned her up and laid her back in her bed while i got her food ready and her milk. i turn around and see shes having one again and this time it was about 3 mins and the most ive seen her twitch. until late last night, i could barley even sleep with all this going on so last night around 1 am im laying with her and i could tell shes about to have one, this time it was the worst one yet. she moved all throughout the house, started in the living room then made her way to the hallway back to the living room and to the kitchen. and when i say move i mean her body jumping in the air while she has no control of her legs. she pissed and pooped while having one which i haven't seen her do before and her scream was alot worst than before. once i saw she was done i wrapped her in a towel and cleaned her off and put her on my chest to relax..few hours later she went to sleep through out the night. idk what to do anymore and im all tapped out :'( financially & emotionally, which isn't fair for me to say because i know she is going through it way worst then me. should i stop her suffering and put her down? :'( does anyone have any advice or anything!! literally anything will be helpful :'( i've had a lot of kittens and cats and never ever went through this. crying just writing this :'(

I am so sorry you are going through this. I assume you have talked to a specialist
I would assume she needs more than compound test. It will be expensive

yes i have :( its very expensive already, although i'll spend my last dollar on her i just don't know if i should put her through this anymore :'( the first time it happened they gave her Zelda an Xray and came out normal..but now that she had so many after that xray when i got march 8th they will do another one, im hoping this time i could get some answers , with each seizure she gets worst and it's heart breaking seeing her suffer like that, i think the seizures is messing with her sight and could barley even walk now without getting so tired, and i think it's making my other cats sad as well they all baby her thank goodness. ugh so worked up over this i feel like im watching her pass away right in front of me :( thank you for replying

I had a cat with seizures a few years ago and he was referred to a veterinary neurologist.....I know, we are talking about an expense here, but if you can get a referral a specialist will be able to give you much more insights than a regular vet, especially given the regularity of the seizures.

I know it is heart wrenching to see Zelda have these seizures, but maybe if you can catch one on video and share it with your vet, they may take the matter a bit more urgently. When you do share it, as suggested above, ask for a referral to a vet neurologist on an emergency basis. Yes, there is going to be cost involved, but this might very well be treatable if you can get someone to actually pay attention and act on it.
