Phaedra my 13 yr old kitty has developed some some shakiness in her paws. When she walks and stands her little paws are a bit weak/wobbly/shaky. Does this sound like possible arthritis? I will get her in for a check up.
You can have the vet look for arthritis, usually through x-rays. But you might also have a full senior blood panel done to see if anything is amiss from that standpoint. A chemistry panel, which is part of the blood work, would check a lot of levels that might indicate any number of things, like low blood sugar, kidney disease, electrolyte balances, just to name a few.
He. Beautiful cat.
I would have the vet run a full senior panel checking the thyroid as well as other chemistries to be sure there isn’t something not arthritis related going on. Cats don’t usually shake with arthritis.
