Thank you. Yes she is latching on really well and finishing her feed.

This morning, she pooped once but her anus was a little swollen, I tried to make her go more but she wanted to do nothing more about it. At her next feed she pooped again and now I think she was hurting and anus was still red. At this point she has pooped thrice...cries while poops and anus is still red. Her stools are mustard yellow and toothpaste consistancy. What can I do to help her?

She needs Albon, an antibiotic. Mustard yellow poop is indicative of coccidia, a common parasite in kittens. Can you get her to the vet?

Apply coconut oil to her sore bottom. It is probably raw and burned and very sore due to the diarrhea.

The vet I took her to told me she was too young to survive without her mom and did not even touch the kitten.

I could get the antibiotic from the chemist. What color should her poop be?

I did apply coconut oil. The KMR is on the way, is there anything else I can do in the meantime?

What about her feed? Shud I keep feeding the amount I am feeding?

How much does she weigh now, and how much (mLs) and how often are you feeding?

The poop should be light yellow to light brown, but not mustard colored. Toothpaste consistency is good.

Just came back from the vet, he has prescribed ofloxacin and ornidazole suspension, .5ml three times a day for 2-3 days.


Between 6am to 6 am about 40 ml, (4ml per feed).

Sorry forgot half the reply, feeding her every 2 hour during the day and every 3 hour at night. Don't know how much she weights yet.

So the story on Kmr, Amazon says it will be delivered in 3 weeks, I guess it is probably shipped from US.

No the meantime, I have arranged for raw goat milk. Pl can u advise on how to feed that, same quantity, shud it be mixed with water etc.

Also as I am sure the kittens anus hurt she is not a happy camper when I stimulate her. I feel so sorry for the little thing. Should I still keep stimulating her after every meal to poop?

The goat milk is fed as is without mixing anything into it.

Do not stimulate every time or for too long or too hard.

Most of the conversation here about goat milk suggests keeping it as the base....so equal parts goat milk, water and egg yolk and one part more than above, yogurt.

When you stimulate, are you using a warm damp cloth or a dry one? A dry cloth with aggravate the soreness of her.
