Hi Guys,
past week has been new experience with my 2 x small kittens (10 weeks now)
so sharing what I have been experiencing in case it helps any other new kitten adopters who are staying apartments like mine and space is limited.
unlike cats kittens are hyperactive machines and if keeping a pair, they will play fight and bite and learn biting strength.
i was able to lock them in my study every night with my litter robot, and water. Dry food always wanted so have stopped leaving Them in bowl.
if you keep just a kitten then you will his/her sparing partner and have to keep kitty close as he will need some one to look to.
even then I still make a routine to play with them and to socialise with them.

I bought 2 cat boxes for them to rest. Not that ex and did not spend on the cat beds.
but kitten choose their own sleeping spots.
one sleeps in small confine areas under table and at times in the cat box while the other like to sleep stretched up on floor every where. So get basic boxes or even the carrier before committing any cat beds sold.

kitten wet food sold have different feeding instructions. You can read and feed or feed small amounts till u think they are full.
hard to see if I am over feeding but heard from guys here, kittens need to eat more. And also forget about the twice a day timing like adult cats. Kittens rostered feeding every 6 hrs. That’s me.

instead of normal litter trays, I let them use litter robot. Again pros and cons.
while u don’t need to scoop but u will need to press the cycle button till they reach the required weight for the sensor to work.
again your kitten may be very particular about hygienic and will bury the poop and then like mine does not bother cover much as still not used to do it properly.
hopefully u are not like me to cheese and wipe down the leg and butt as not always we are around..

Now for the problems that require the advice of fellow feline owners.

1. both kitties are pooping at the same time in the machine and this causes havoc.
pits not they need to go together but every time one goes in , the other follows regardless the need or not.
how to resolve this?
2. the water fountain my female drinks normally.
the male like to put his paw in to drink and this I am afraid contaminates the water as the paw can be dirty.
he puts the paw in and then uses it to clean his face with the wet paw…
is the water bad for them as I cannot be sure when he puts his paw….

I think with kittens as young as yours, you might have better luck with regular litter boxes. Maybe at this stage of the game, two boxes side by side. Perhaps, they will each use one of them at the same time. The copy cat behavior is not uncommon, but might work better for you at this point if you have pretty good size boxes to accommodate it. I would also use non-clumping litter until they are little older.

Cats, and kittens alike, can be intrigued by water/water fountains and it isn't unusual for them to kind of play in it. You might also place a bowl of water out too, just to see if that makes any difference, but chances are now that he knows he can play with the water fountain, it probably won't help. Assuming your water fountain has a filtering system which helps to keep the water fresher/cleaner, as long as you replace/replenish the water/filter appropriately, I sincerely doubt there enough 'dirt' on his paws to make a difference - especially if the cats don't go outside.

Will see if can get another small litter box.
But I hate to scope esp now with 2 kittens. If I am at work then then the Litter be just acculated till I return.
Also not sure if I am over feeding them. As they are pooping alot..

The water fountain has filter but when I change I can see the Litter sand at the bottom.
So have shifted the water to the living room space where they hang out.
Getting a litter box now as also see they tracking a lot of sand out when they try to jump out. Think they small for the machine.
