    Pros - grain-free, real chicken
    Cons - price, starch
I've only ever fed my cat Paw Lickin' Chicken. He quickly gobbled it up due to the consistency, aroma, and, of course, taste. I don't like that it has xanthan gum in the top ten ingredients but at least it has no carrageenan. I'll continue to buy and add this to my rotation though due to the actual shredded chicken.

    Pros - Poppy eats it!
    Cons - It's expensive
Poppy has long been off the pumpkin-laced food and Slippery
Elm Bark and is no longer constipated.

She leaves food in her dish if I give her too much, so we've settled on several snack-sized meals over the day and evening. She develops sores on her face with fish of any kind, so I read labels diligently to be sure there's no fish. After much trial and error on my part, and "nope, I won't eat that, Bean" on Poppy's part, we finally settled on Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken mixed with Fancy Feast Liver & Chicken for breakfast, mid-morning snack, and lunch. She gets Fancy Feast Turkey & Giblets for dinner and at 10 p.m.

This has been our food routine for more than a year. We're in Canada and the Weruva is $2.69 a tin, so it's pricey. The Fancy Feast is cheaper (69 cents each).

I've been rinsing the potato starch off the Weruva because Poppy won't eat it otherwise, but I'm wondering how much of the nutrients I'm rinsing away? Is that balanced out by mixing the Weruva with the Fancy Feast Liver & Chicken, do you think? Poppy seems healthy, has a shiny coat, lots of energy etc.

Why does Weruva add potato starch to it's chicken? Do cats need that?
