General Information

A kitten's growth can be segmented into two distinct stages, with very different nutritional requirements. From 4 months until maturity, a kitten's growth rate actually slows and energy requirements are different. At the same time, it is increasingly important to provide the right nutrient balance for optimal development. DHA, coming from fish oils, plays a major role in embryonic and fetal development and growth of the central nervous and visual systems. Early dietary supplementation is necessary to achieve a positive effect on cerebral development. Carefully selected ingredients, like rice, are easy to digest for young kittens. Good digestion is important for optimal nutrient absorption, during this second stage of growth. A kittens milk teeth will begin to appear between 3 and 4 weeks of age, but permanent teeth do not emerge until after 4 months of age. A tiny kibble is easier to eat and can be rehydrated during weaning. Accumulation of plaque and tartar is a risk even at this early stage of life. Kitten 36 contains nutrients that help to bind and safely remove the calcium that could build-up on teeth, while still providing the necessary calcium levels for optimal skeletal growth. Available in 15 lbs.

Pros: None
Cons: Cat won't eat, horrible ingredients, overpriced.
Indy was on this when I first got her but she would barely touch it. I looked at the ingredients and it is loaded with fillers and byproducts. It even smells just like layer pellets you feed hens. It is not a good food and my cat hates it. Will be taking the bag to the shelter.
Pros: Highly palatable, made in Canada, excellent quality control, excellent results.
Cons: Expensive.
We start our foster kittens on this, and have done for years. Its a wonderful food. Most of them take to it right away, no problem. Small enough for little kitten mouths. Rehydrates well, if need be. Our little ones always have shiny coats, bright eyes, good stool (once parasites, et all are dealt with). They grow and develop normally.

Reactions: 1 person
Pros: Kitty loves it, looks tasty, small kibble
Cons: A bit more expensive than other brands, afraid kitty will choke on a piece of kibble because she scarfs it down so fast
All as can say is that today is the second day i've been introducing this kitten food to my Shadow and she thinks that the kibble are treats!!! I've been hiding them everywhere as treats for the time-being. lol...
