Pros: clumps hard and quickly; good order control
Cons: used up fast
The whole point of the littermaid is to avoid scooping.  Finding one where the clumps don't break or stick to tines of the rake was difficult.  This is the best version that doesn't cost a fortune.

Pros: clumps well
Cons: dusty, doesn't keep the odors down
Out of all of the Tidy Cats litters that we've tried, this one seems to be the worst.  It clumps well, but this one just does't seem to have the same odor neutralizing powers of the other litters.  It is also quite dusty, which you'll find that most clay litters are.  If you're looking for a simple and affordable litter, this may work for you, but if you want something with more odor control, try another product.
Pros: Clumps well, odor control, low cost
Cons: Dusty, Tracks a lot, wasteful, efficient for first couple days
This litter was a desperate purchase honestly. I was on the broke side and this was on sale at Target, so I just picked it up. I was using WBCL at the time and i HATED it, so I needed something else to use, without breaking my budget.

For the first few days this was pretty good. Clumps well, and odor control was good. My cats did not mind it much. But from the very beginning it was very dusty and tracked a lot. My black kitty would go in and come out greyish/blue (the litter is not exactly grey, its like a bluish grey, and when it clumps it becomes dark grey/blackish blue).

After about 2-3 days, the clumping ability started to falter, and the odor control was not that amazing as it was with the first time i started to use it. The clumps would start to fall apart, and there would be little pieces left behind every time i cleaned out the box (twice a day), which in turn made for a stinky box. And when it clumped, it was very wasteful, in the sense that it used A LOT of the litter to clump....So every time I cleaned out the box I would also have to add more litter to maintain 3-4inches at all times.

I would probably buy it again, only for emergency cases. If i really need litter and I'm super broke. It is pretty affordable, but you also go through it pretty fast, so in the long run, if you're buying a 20 lb container of this every other week, not sure how "affordable" it really is...
