Pros: fine, clumps well, relatively affordable, readily available
Cons: a bit dusty, scent can be a bit strong
Maxx Scoop is pretty widely available, and it's affordable. I like the tubs they come in because they can be repurposed for sealing other litters or dry foods. It's a pretty fine clay, so it sifts well and clumps pretty well, but it can get a bit dusty. This is a scented version and considering it's for small spaces (we keep our boxes in a storage room with the door ajar), the smell can be a bit overwhelming. This can deter some cats, and make some humans feel unwell. I found that the smell was a bit too strong for me, but mixing it in with another unscented litter made it more tolerable. When the smell isn't so strong, it even smells nice -- but I still prefer unscented.
