General Information

Toys that mimic the thrill of the hunt encourage even inactive cats to chase, pounce and leap, transforming playtime into exercise time. The Mystery Motion replicates the darting and dashing of a real mouse and the battery-operated control base in the center lets you set the speed of the mouse's movement. Save to Shortlist Your cat's brain is hardwired to respond to erratic movements - just like those delivered by Mystery Motion. This cat toy replicates the darting and dashing of a real mouse to get your cat up off the sofa and playing. The erratic movement of Mystery Motion's concealed mouse keeps your cat guessing (like when you place your hand under a blanket and move it around to make your cat pounce). A battery operated control base in center lets you set the speed of the mouse's movement.

Pros: Cats don't get bored with it
Cons: Cats could pull the feathers out
First of all, I think it's amazing that Charlie didn't pull out all the feathers on the hidden mouse, even though he's had this toy for months. They must be secured better than they are on other feather toys, but I still always supervise Charlie when I bring out this toy, just in case.

The Petlinks hidden mouse isn't the most intense workout for your cat. Instead of darting around a room like they would with a fishing pole-type toy, their movement is confined to that small circle around the toy. That's fine, though, I just see it as more of a mental exercise for Charlie rather than physical exercise. Charlie does love playing with the Petlinks hidden mouse, though; whenever he hears me turn it on, he runs to come and play with it. Even though Charlie has had this toy for a while, he still hasn't gotten bored with it, which is certainly a plus.
