Nashville Cat Rescue

General Information

Nashville Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens from off the streets and from high-kill shelters and placing them into loving, permanent homes. All cats and kittens that come through our program receive superb veterinary care before they are adopted out to the public. Each Nashville Cat Rescue cat or kitten is, at minimum, tested for FIV/FeLV, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, given flea preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations appropriate for their age.NCR does not have a facility; rather, we operate through a network of foster homes and showcase our adoptable cats and kittens at PETsMART locations in 100 Oaks, Cool Springs, and Hermitage, as well as the Cool Springs and Donelson Pet Supermarket. Pros: Takes cats from high-kill shelters, local organization, fosters out of homes, Low adoption fee
Cons: Negligent towards rescued cats, Misinformed, Ineffective, Expensive Vet Bills
Foster parents take very little responsibility for the health of the animals in their care. Beware unexpected vet costs after adopting from NCR and misinformation. Always investigate your new cat's history after adopting.
