    Very finicky cat

Huey just switches what he likes all the time. But mostly, he's a shredded chicken guy with gravy (or broth over it). I don't want to be locked into feeding them 5 times a day--once the pandemic's done and I have to start taking work meetings in person, etc., it's untenable. I had been hoping to...

    Very finicky cat

UPDATE: Just gave them lunch. Didn't serve the pate--just some Weruva Chicken Frick a Zee mixed with the kibble (Orijen), bone broth and freeze dried chicken on top. THEN sprinkled the dry bone broth on top. He ate the whole thing! I think it had to do with the freeze-dried, no pate and dry bone...

    Very finicky cat

Thank you for this! That's what it's evolving to--1/2 dry and 1/2 wet. And putting the toppers (I'm using freeze-dried purebites chicken which he would eat all day long if I let him and the mix from the bone broth which he loves). I'm home all day long too so, for now, that will help. I will...

    Very finicky cat

Thanks. I'd still like to see him eating more so I will be putting the toppers on. I just ordered Dr. Elsey's dry (which has low carbs) so I feel better about it for kibble in case that's mostly what he wants. THanks again for the tips!

    Very finicky cat

Thank you! I will try some of these suggestions. FYI, right after I posted, I took the bone broth powder (I buy Native Pet which is a chicken powder you add water to), sprinkled it on his wet food and he ate it. He also ate a small handful of kibble. I think he's just sick of wet food (he...

    Very finicky cat

Hi all, I have two cats, both about a year and half. The girl, Emma Gomez, is a month older and quite a bit bigger (around 11 1/2 pounds), the male, Huey, is smaller and about 9 1/2 pounds. Huey has ALWAYS had eating issues. Meaning he eats, walks away, gets distracted, comes back, takes a few...

    Wound healing questions

Hi Guys! Update: It's healing! The wound is completely gone and hair is really starting to grow back--that was fast! I didn't end up doing the chamomille (only because the weather was super nasty yesterday and I'm getting over a cold and didn't want to chance it). But when I took the ecollar...

    Wound healing questions

Thank you. Right now, the skin feels rough over a small 1/4" piece of skin. But there is no more open wound at all. I'm going to keep the collar on till tonight (just because of the scab and because he's been licking off scabs which have brought new blood) and then take it off. And thanks for...

    Wound healing questions

Thanks! Will do. FYI, last night while I asleep, he figured out how to take off the ecollar and I woke up to it on the floor, lol. The hair DID grow back a lot but, just like you said, the skin is very rough. I'm going out today to buy some cammoille tea. The ecollar is back on but hopefully...

Thanks! Will try it. I'll try the tea, initially, while the collar's still on.

    Wound healing questions

Thanks! Do you think I should keep the collar on until the hair grows in? Cause it seems like he licks the area (even thought there's really no substantive wound there). My fear is that the hair will never grow back and he'll keep irritating the skin by licking it.

    Wound healing questions

Hi, My 1-year-old cat has a small wound on his upper front leg (probably from roughhousing with my other cat--they love each other and play fight and play all the time). I took him to the vet who said it was very small (it didn't look infected, there's no pus), she cleaned it and to be on the...

Has Anyone Else's Cat Stopped Liking Fancy Feast Canned Food?

I haven't noticed a difference. What I do, though, is mix two types of FF together: Classic Turkey & Giblets with FF Natural Gourmet Chicken pate. My cats love them both and, so far, haven't lost interest.
