We just got another kitten today! Feeding (?)...

I've had kittens get gassy from wet food. You might try a kitten food with larger pieces, like Nutro Maxcat or Natural Choice to slow down the eating a little. I agree with the worming, too. The ravenous eating might be because the kitty is just so hungry due to worms.

    Peeing on bed / me

I agree with Tim. My younger neutered male did that once, too--about a year ago. Never had a problem before, haven't had one since. It was an accident.

Will I ever go to the bathroom by myself again?

Two of mine were fosters who were raised in my bathroom, I think that's why they hang out in there with me. But my eldest cat needs to sit on my lap when I'm on the throne and one will sit on my shoulders, the other will stand on the sink and paw at me. My 1-year-old kitten will jump up on my...

spaying.. have questions and have pics!

Just had a mama and kitten in foster care--the mama rejected the kit at around 6 weeks. That was because she was already three weeks pregnant. I'd say just make sure she can't go anywhere near a male if you are going to wait a while. I agree with TNR, though, this might be a little early to spay.

Could be the she might already be pregnant, too.

Is there a kitten food that my kitty will LOVE?

Maybe it was Science Diet A/D food? That's what I use to get my foster kits to eat. Expensive...I drop about $2.50 a can for it if I don't get it from the shelter. It could be a upper resp. if he won't eat. I'd take him to the vet if he won't eat food too long--it may not be what you're...

Post Neuturing: Wierd Purr? Twitchy eye?

I'd give him a day or two. I've had that problem, but usually it's with the girls. If they intubated him while he was under, it could possibly irritate his throat. The twitch is something I've seen before--it went away after anesthesia wore off completely. Just my 2 cents.

What do you wear to bed?

I hear ya there! Heh. I've always slept in a tshirt but my husband has just started to sleep with a tshirt because our little girlie has decided she should nibble on his chest while he's sleeping. Heh...claws, too, she bounces around alot...

    Funniest thing I've ever seen!

Kitties love straws! I give them to my kittens...what's funny is when they are trying to walk away with them and turn their heads to see if anyone is following them and then they hit themselves in the back leg...then they *really* think someone's following them. They dart away then.

    Help kitten stuck inside?

Yes, she would probably lick it off. It wouldn't be too bad, though. Fleas are far worse. She might spit a little of it up after grooming it off of them, but as long as it's been 30 minutes or so, it should take effect and take care of the fleas. The food is a little early, but giving them...

help! I need to know if my cat's kittens will be ok!

I agree. My two neutered males were pretty curious about my foster kits but after a few litters, they settled in. The younger of the two will actually snuggle with my bottle babies if I put them next to him. He still "bops" older ones, (they move more so he thinks they're fair game). This is...

    frustrated at spaying/neutering- venting

I disagree with you. I have a seven month old female who was spayed at 15 weeks old (a shelter animal, bottle-raised by a fellow foster mom) she was 2 lbs then. She's 6 lbs now. In the last three years, I've fostered dozens of little girls who were spayed once they reached 2 lbs, usually at...

How many of you have semi-vegetarian cats?

My three and my foster all fight over lettuce and spinach. The foster will gather all the lettuce and spinach together and not let anyone near it. My big siamese has pumpkin with every meal, mostly for the fiber. Besides that he normally stalks and kills bananas, tomatoes, and garlic. He'll...

    Science Diet Opinion?

Here in the US royal canin is available at petsmart and petco. I've tried royal canin babycat--it's a great food, very tiny kibble, and easy for the little ones to eat. But at 6 weeks you probably don't need one for tiny babies. I'd go with the slightly bigger sizes. Kitten would work.

    How well do you spell?

I got 12 out of 15...that's why I'm in accounting and taxes. If you misspell stuff you send to the IRS they normally don't notice.

    New Kitty Litter Box

Try a box with a top on it or with higher sides...he might not be realizing that he's hanging over the edge when he goes.

Litter box digging resulted in a mess this morning!

Hey! This sounds like my Kelly-cat. He scratches on the roof of the box. It's quite funny actually. The box might be too small. My other three (two of mine and my foster kitty), all get out of the box and then bury what ever they just deposited while outside the box. It gets tossed out...

Help me, I'm a new cat lover with a sick cat

I'll be honest, it might be too late. A fellow kitty foster mom got a litter of 4 4-day-olds last year and they all turned out to be FeLV positive. On the other hand, I've also had a cat that was turned in with her 3week old kitten, mama was leuki-positive, kitten wasn't. Just depends. I'd...

Cleo is in labor I am a wreck

I'd call another vet. And in the future, I'd switch to the other vet. If another vet is willing to help you now without you being a client, they'd probably be a good vet to go to. That's appalling. *disgusted*

    URGENT!! Cat fight!!

She should be fine. She's probably just scared. I normally bring in fosters to my house and cage them in my livingroom to get used to each other (my boys and the fosters). This brings on a lot of howling and hissing and growling but they do settle down. As gayef mentioned, don't try to move...
