    How To Supplement Raw Food

Just making sure you got him tested. I see a lot of people on here that think their cat has a chicken allergy because the cat is throwing up the "Chicken, Pea, and Rice" kibble or similar. It's usually not the chicken. ;) In that case... have you thought about supplementing yourself? I make my...

    How To Supplement Raw Food

I wouldn't start with something you have to supplement. Honestly, there's a learning curve when it comes to raw feeding, and supplementing a commercial food would be a pain. Might as well make your own at that point. Bravo has veggies in it too... which are really unnecessary and can be harmful...

Perscription Food- With Gluten- Please Advise!!

If it's bile in the morning, or maybe after going all day without food while you're at work, it's probably just acid. Mine get like this, so I give them a late night snack before I go to bed, and that solves the problem. Prescription food is crap. I would 100% avoid it. Most vet's only know...

    Hare Today On Social Media

I honestly just skimmed it because it was pretty lengthy. It was fairly anti-vax, but it didn't bother me. I'm pretty limited vax (generally kitten shots, first rabies, then titers.) But my cats are indoor only, and I don't have other animals. I think she was just grieving and wanting to make...

    Cat Cake

What about freeze dried treats? You could top some yummy canned food with some freeze dried meat treats. And raw meat isn't bad for cats. Cat's are obligate carnivores and survived for millions of years on raw meat. :) If you want to try raw, maybe give him a small piece of raw chicken or...

Cheaper Wet Food Comparable To Wellness

If you have an independent store near you, Dave's Pet Food has decent canned, similar quality to Wellness. And a 12 oz can is like $1.89 so it's way cheaper. I'd really recommend switching up the wet food. Fish is fine as a treat once a week, but it's not great for cats nutrition wise. Most...

    Merrick Limited Canned

I used to feed it, but stopped when they added pea protein. Super disappointing, it was one of my favorites! (Well... the cats' favorites. lol)

Can You Help Me Choose New Food For My Cats?

You'll have to try out different textures. All cats have their preferences. :) But look for the meatiest food you can find. Look for foods with no grains or veggies. Fancy Feast classics are inexpensive, and loved by most cats if you are looking for some place to start. Sheba pates are decent as...

    Consitpation in raw fed cat

Can you add more fat to the raw? That helps with constipation. Animal fat/skin works really well and is easy to find.

What brand of MCHA do you use?

Radcat is made with eggshell, so if he's fine with Radcat, he shouldn't have an eggshell sensitivity. Egg and eggshell are separate ingredients so cats can be allergic to chicken, and be fine with chicken eggs, or be allergic to eggs but not eggshell.

    Small Cell Lymphoma/ Cannabis Oil?

Did they do a biopsy? A lot of the symptoms of lymphoma are the same as IBD. http://www.rawfeedingforibdcats.org/is-it-ibd-or-cancer.html

Should I have a vet shave Sylvester's mats?

Can you cut them out with sharp scissors? One of my cats gets mats, and I can usually snip them with scissors and then if there's any left (close to the skin) they're easier to comb out after you've got the main mat out. She's not a giant fan of being brushed, but doesn't mind scissors as long...

    My Monthly Costs

You could totally feed raw for less than that. I'm at $56 per month (food cost) for 2 cats. The supplements are crazy cheap and last forever if you supplement yourself. It's the premixes that drive the cost up. I feed boneless ground and supplement myself. It's easy. I just made 6 weeks of food...

Interview Dress Code - Help Please!

That was supposed to be yearly. Oops.    Thanks for all the kind words! I'm excited but nervous. Learning new things and change is kind of nerve racking for me.

Interview Dress Code - Help Please!

The building department (Planning and Zoning Dept) was the one that offered. Not the City Clerk's office (they're currently still interviewing... though I wasn't a huge fan of that job anyway.) I did a whole pros and cons list and talked it over with a bunch of people I trust. I just couldn't...

Interview Dress Code - Help Please!

Update: They called today and offered me the job! I have not officially accepted yet, but I told them I'd let them know by tomorrow.  Unfortunately, it's exactly the same salary as I make now, but I'd have much better benefits. I currently don't have health insurance through my employer, and...

Has anyone had a cat that preferred men/women?

My cats are male/female litter mates. The boy prefers me 100%, and the girl will come and sit on my lap if I'm alone... but if my boyfriend is over, she's all over him. I suspect because he lets her lick his hands (her favorite) and I don't. I'm trying to break her of the habit but it's not...

Interview Dress Code - Help Please!

Not sure. The first one ended up being for the City Clerk's office... so not quite what the job advertisement promised. Apparently the city just post a general job ad, and not specific to the department. I got there and it looked nothing like the information in the posting. So I'm not quite sure...
