I would wait a while and if it gets better, then don't worry about it. Wait until you can afford it in case it gets worse.

They should get along fine! We had an old cat when we got a new cat (also adult). They hated each other at first, especially the older one. Since they're closer in age they should be able to get along better. They also might fall in love with each other :)

Try moving the litter box to where he goes the most. He might like that spot for some reason. Then, over time, slowly move the box to where you want it to be. You can't really control the constipation. :)

We feed one of our cats wet food twice a day and I haven't noticed soft stool at all. He has bad kidneys so he has to be on the prescription diet. I would try a different brand of wet food and see if the issue is resolved :)

My oldest cat recently ripped out one of his claws and was bleeding like crazy. We brought him to the vet, where they gave us some ointment. The ointment made my cat lick the wound and open it again, so we just let the wound heal over time.
