My cat keeps taking off her cone.

I took it off for right now. I'm gonna keep an eye on her to see if she nibbled or licks too much at her incision, but I don't think she will. She seems a lot more happy now without it.

My cat keeps taking off her cone.

It's her fifth day after spaying, and she really hates her cone. She has internal sutures, and the doctor said not to let her lick her incision for at least 1-2 weeks. Last night, she took off her cone for the second time. I woke up to see the cone on the floor, and I immediately panicked...

    Coldness after spay?

After a few hours, she's definitely loving this heating pad. Her body temperature's gotten up and she's all nice and warm. She's in my room for the whole entire day and school doesn't start for almost a week, so she's always on my radar.

    Coldness after spay?

Hello everyone! Ella was just spayed two days ago, and I've noticed she's been quite colder than usual. Of course, she's not as active and a little tired. But when she is active, after her surgery, she acts like her normal self. Her appetite and behavior are completely normal. I've noticed her...

Serious problems or first time owner paranoia?

Poor baby. It's so great though that her appetite is well and growing. Surely she'll get better in no time. If she has troubles with stress you could always get Feliway or some knock off of it. It helps with stress, it's what I got my kitten when we first got her. I wish the best for Nana

    Heartgard vs. Revolution?

That's very true. While Ella does get dewormed often, we never really do anything about fleas. Plus, more coverage doesn't hurt. I found out about Heartguard through research, trying to find a recombinant vaccine. Merial is the company that makes Heartguard, along with the vaccines Ella...

    Heartgard vs. Revolution?

Thanks, everyone! Ella is an indoor cat too, so is it worth it to get Revolution? She doesn't live with any other animals and we live in an apartment. My best guess is that Revolution is the best way to stay safe, though.

Serious problems or first time owner paranoia?

Ooh, I also forgot a helpful tip: previously I used vitamins for my kitten, but she was getting too many nutrients, so we took her off them. However, vitamins do wonders for sick cats! We used Doc Roy's powdered vitamins and mixed it with wet food. It's great for when cats are sick, lactating...

Serious problems or first time owner paranoia?

That's so good her appetite is coming back! The sneezing after drinking might be only because water goes up her nose. It happens to my cat. But, by the likes of it, it's probably something more serious since she's so fatigued.

    Heartgard vs. Revolution?

Hello fellow cat owners!  We just went to the vet to get Ella her last shots for the rest of her kittenhood, and we got a free sample of Revolution. I'm still skeptical of what vets give to my cat, which is also why it took me forever to find a reasonable priced recombinant rabies vaccine. But...

Serious problems or first time owner paranoia?

Hello! It's completely normal to feel this way being a first-time owner, especially with a cat with conditions like these.  It's really great though that her stool is forming and that she's being fed quality food. I also feed my kitten Wellness and it's done her wonders. By the sounds of it...
