i don't know about needing 'defense', but, as long as he keeps them short enough(as in not to puncture his paw pads, which CAN happen), then i'm sure it's fine. my guys' grow fast & long :) when they start 'sticking' to things & puncturing us by accident, it's time!
i love this! so do admirals yoda &/or sasst mcawkward! uh, no, they really prefer the window watching, 'helping' around the house & of course, being the cheeky little monkeys that i love! happy #ClearTheShelters day everyone!
that is a great name! have you been able to do it? if so, how did it go? i have to towel wrap & slide mine on my lap under the table, but i get it done, without anyone getting injured each month.
i can't think of any type of cat i dislike, but i don't think i got to appreciate the beauty of the hairless breeds till a number of years ago when a friend had a girlfriend who was owned by 2 sphinxes. at first i didn't think they were beautiful but as i learned about them, & saw photos, i grew...
very handy. you know what i haven't been doing as a shelter/rescue volunteer is recommending this site to new especially first time cat adopters! i will start doing that immediately, i don't think there is anything you won't find on this site :)
thank you & i know you are too. i always try to retouch the black cat's photos to get more 'pop' factor, well all of them of course but especially the black ones :) if you get a chance, i posted about a cat at a different organization i volunteer with, she is very frightened and hostile, if you...
update-they gave her a 'duplex', double condo which she seems to enjoy. she actually seemed a little less hostile when i saw her yesterday, i was able to put some treats on the same area she was on. i got some growls, but was able to change her litterbox, straighten up uninjured. in the past...
@Red Top Rescue thank you for your kind reply. i agree i am not in a good position to foster, but i was still really feeling that wound on his little tail :( when i posted this. he will have a good chance of being adopted(he is presently not up for adoption), either by a member of the public...
i've been volunteering for just about a year now, with a city shelter and a rescue group. i've learned so much in this time. it, as anyone who does this knows, can be super heartbreaking. i went to the city shelter yesterday. in the nursery was a 4 month old red kitten. i noticed a wound on his...
hey everyone, i'm off to an adoption event, i'm so sorry i haven't had time for this it looks like so much fun(except maybe for the moderators apparently). i hope everyone has a good day & if it's hot where you are(like it is here)hope everyone can stay cool. will check back later if i can! hope...
good morning all, missed so much as usual! will be able to pop in a bit today, hope everyone is doing well. @MagiksGirl yes, who are you thinking of? i love it when they name animals at the shelters after superheroes, 'batgirl' has been popular lately. :)
oh my goodness, i've missed so much! i just wanted to share that i just spoke to my vet, he said that there were crystals in the urine samples, more in sid's, but otherwise nothing. he said crystals can form while the pee is sitting around, i got gus's right after he went & put it right in the...
oh my goodness, such cuteness in my absence! gus obliged with sample around 2 pm, my prima donna sid did it sometime between 2 & 6 am. so, samples going to vet, i was afraid i was gonna have to drag sid in but apparently he's not blocked, just didn't like the set up. i don't know how long before...
