HELP! Terra the Cat won’t stop peeing on my roommate’s new chair.

Quick update, Terra recently treated by a veterinary radiologist and peed on the chair one last time while her pee was radioactive, so we had to throw it away. She never peed outside the litter box again, so it’s very likely she waa trying to change how it smelled.

HELP! Terra the Cat won’t stop peeing on my roommate’s new chair.

So I live in adult foster care and my roommate is my caregiver. He recently got a new chair to play his PS4 from, and Terra has taken to peeing on it, even if her litter is clean My roommate also has a rambunctious pit bull puppy whom she has learned to tolerate, but doesn’t really care for...

Is it possible to train Terra the Cat NOT to puke on my bed?

So I spoke with Terra’s vet and she agreed to the piking waa most likely due to an overproduction of stomach acid due to her hypothyroidism. She recommended that I spread her food intake out over 4 meals to start, and bup it up to 5 if that doesn’t fix it. Will keep you guys updated.

Is it possible to train Terra the Cat NOT to puke on my bed?

For the person who asked, ai feee Terra Smalls (children). Her vet can’t be certain without seeing her, but she might just be eating hrr food to quickly, which can cause an upset stomach. This would make sense since she has an overactive thyroid, but I shouldn’t leap to conclusions.

How to get Terra the Cat to the vet?

Terra the Cat was recently diagnosed with an ovrr active thyroid and she refuses to let me apply the medication she needs for it, so made an appointment with her vet to discuss other options. Terra HATES going to the vet, but it’s important that she be seen by him. Much like NPCs in Everquest...

Is it possible to train Terra the Cat NOT to puke on my bed?

Terra pukes an average of 2 to 3 times a week, and ALWAYS on my bed. Sometimes, I can shew her on to the floor, but tonight She puked on my bed, on top side she sleeps on. Less than 30 seconds later, she puked right below my pillow without me knowing it, then I laid in it (Gross.) She has an...

How to get Terra the Cat to take her meds?

Terra the Cat was diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid earlier this year when her vet determined she was nearly 3 pounds underweight. Admittedly, she had recently come off a diet after my roommate noticed she seemed too skinny. Her vet also recommended that I switch her to wet food, and gave his...

    Fun toys for senior cats?

Thank you all for the feedback! I’m nearly blinf so it will take me some time to reaf everything, but I wanted to address a few things: I don’t know her exact age since she was a stray I took in many years ago. Based on her dental department at the time I found her, she is most likely 12...

    Fun toys for senior cats?

I've had the same interactive toy that Terra has played with her entire life, and she was OBSESSED with it. Now, she has lost interest. I used to think that not being as interested in physically active play waa just psrt of old age, but I just watched a video hrre that stressed the importance of...

How to make Terra the Cat a more eager drinker?

Wow, so many responses! I’ll need time to read them all. Since someone asked, I feed Terra the Cat Smalls ground and smooth bird, and she LOOOOOOOVES it. I also give her crunchy treats because she loves crunchy food and her vet likes them because they keep her teeth clean. I DON’T have a...

How to make Terra the Cat a more eager drinker?

This thread is NOT about the kind of drinking you do with your friends after work, but about how I can make Terra more enthusiastic about her water dish. According to her vet, all cats have a poor thirst reflex that gets worse with age. At her last checkup, her vet recommended I switch her to...

Terra the Cat cares about her person

Was rough housing with Cash the Pit Bull Puupy when I banged my head against the wall at let out an “Ow!” Terra was right there, and hissed at Cash until he backed off, then walked over to make sure I was OK. Terra is a pint sized little scraper, and has put The Rambunctious Pit Bull Puppy in...

Best way to give a kitty pills?

Well, I called my vet and it was not to late to change the order from pills to dermal patches for the inside of her ear. Cost me $30 more for the patches, but I can’t see myself forcing Terra to take a pill every day.

Best way to give a kitty pills?

Now that you mention it, the vet DID mention that topical cream. I suffered a brain infection in 2017 that affected my short term memory, so I didn’t think to order it…

Best way to give a kitty pills?

Terra the Cat was recently disguised with an overactive thyroid and will need daily medication for the rest of her life. Like most kitties, Terra is rather particular about what ahe will and won’t eat, and I fear that forcing a pill down her throat every day could damage our bond (even if it is...

Wet food recommendations for an (almost) senior cat?

Thanks for the links. I already feed Terra on a three meals a day regime, but with dry food (no free feeding here). That being the case, is switching to wet food fundamentally any different than what is described in the guide?
