I am 66 and have suffered depression on and off for a great deal of my adult life.
To me, once depression sets in, it develops a life of its own. Your guilt and grief seem to have thrown you into a deep depression.
Your fears of Tazzie's lonliness, of her not loving you, of wanting to hold...
Hi all y'all -- it's me Little Guy! We've been having nice cool weather here and all us in Katie's been having fun. Zazie loves to play tag and gets all the rest of us to play with her! We run all bout the partment an jump from one couch to the other. It's a lot of fun!
Me an Zazie gonna go...
Our meowmy's really rude to us -- she picks us up and puts us on the floor if we bothers her while she's looking at the computer!
We still love her though. Sumtimes we lies on the table next to the typing thing, then she fusses over us and talks to us.
My sympathies to you and your son on the loss of your wonderful girl. She must have been quite a character to ride in the bicycle basket and visit the neighborhood.
I know what it is to have a cat just go missing. It is awful -- the initial anxiety and finally the resignation that they are...
I'm so sorry you lost your little cat. Please post in the Rainbow Bridge Forum so I can know your whole story. In the meantime I'm sending lots of prayers and vibes for you
Cats do vary in their aggressiveness about begging. Most are pretty polite to the humans, but I've got a little foster kitten now -- about 4 months old, that is very assertive. I just put her in the bedroom when I eat. She is fine for the hour or so she's there.
She always seems really...
Thank you so much for your kind responses. We loved Nancy so much. Both of us still love little black cats because of her. I know that many people on the cat site have cats that they can't and don't want to forget.
I also have Magenta, a cat I had before my daughter was born, that I remember...
I'm so sorry you lost your beautiful girl. It is very admirable that you turned some of your grief into a live-saving memorial for her. Here are some healing vibes for you, your so and your two boys:
Yesterday was a very good day with the colony. Eight were already there when I came out, and Sneakers and Mamie both showed up when I called them.
I feel so happy with my friendships with the cats. I have not been as consistent with feeding times as I have been in the past, but whenever I...
I'm fascinated by the Kennedy's too. The men have done some awful things -- all that womanizing -- but they have worked hard, too, at many social causes. I admire them.
I saw Mamie yesterday. Hanging under the feeding bench when I went out late.
You won't believe the last person who called...
I'm sorry you lost your crusty guy. I'm sure he appreciated your love everytime you talked to him.
Feeling guilty won't help him now. Turn that guilt into being kind to other crusty boys and girls that are misunderstood. They need you.
Zazie had another interview today. I wonder how she did. A nice couple, very young, students at Cal State Chico. We'll see if they call.
Roll Call: Alfie, Blackie, Dude, Henry, Lady Day, Louie, Oscar. 7 total.
Thank you, all.
Laureen, I remember when you lost Mouse. I know how hard it was for you.
I'm so happy I had Nancy in my life. Just thinking of her now brings a smile to my face. Remembering how she slept next to me. I still miss her, but I am so happy I had 15 wonderful years with her.
