Has anyone seen Bixbi wet cat food in their local indy pet store? I've been using their Rawbble, which Molly really likes, however, I wanted to try to upgrade her wet food. Chewy doesn't have the wet food so wondering if anyone has tried this with their cat(s).

Thanks!
I contacted Rawz recently to find out why my local indy store's distributor didn't have the duck & liver pate available at the store. I've been using the turkey pate intermittently but I wanted to try the duck. Also, note the new online retailer with free shipping.
This is the response I...
Is anyone familiar with this company? I noticed the freeze dried chicken food on Chewy, it's a "balanced" food, however, no calcium source is listed for the chicken recipe.

My sense is that the calcium source is ground bone...
Purpose Pet Food came out with a freeze dried raw chicken recipe for cats; their freeze dried raw for dogs has been on the market for several years.
I'll call the company to find out the bone percentage and Calcium / phos ratio.
Carnivore Chicken:
Ground chicken, chicken heart, chicken...
"A good [raw food] company will have a specific proportion of each ingredient that will be the same in every batch. If they cannot tell you the percentage of meat/bone/organs and fat/protein/moisture, as well as vitamin and mineral content, they have not done the testing and do not know."

Go Healthy Pet is an online retailer that offers individual, 3 oz cans of cat food for sale, a few brands, I didn't look at the entire selection.
Free samples are great, of course, as another thread suggests contacting manufacturers, but otherwise GHP might be an option for those who want to...
For those feeding Primal freeze dried food:
Two new Primal freeze dried proteins for cats hit our store today (in NYC) -- duck and rabbit, both single proteins.
The new products still are not on Primal's web site nor on Primal's Facebook page so I'm not sure what the Calcium / phos and other...
I also just noticed on SC's web site under the chicken morsels, they have added menadione sodium bisulphite, a controversial source of vitamin K that SC has been using in their fish products but not in their poultry, until now, along with the pea fiber.
I only checked the ingredients for...
I don't use S&C's FD due to it being too high in phosphorus, however, for those who do use SC FD, I noticed they have now added pea fiber to their cat food.
They came out with a new 3.5 oz bag of meal "morsels" that includes the pea fiber, not sure if SC's regular sized bags will be the same...
For those feeding Mauri or those interested in feeding Mauri but concerned about the heavy gum use in their formulas (there were three), the company has removed all three gums and replaced with "dried egg product."
They are also changing their name and will no longer be known as Mauri but...
Okay - that's it, I've had it.
I've been feeding my IBD Molly Lotus Just Juicy turkey on rotation, it is one of the few low fat foods that she can tolerate. Usually, upon opening a can, it's full of shredded white meat and a few carrots. "It looks good enough for humans to eat" as I've...
So I've been trying to get my IBD Molly to eat Instinct LID canned rabbit with little luck. Once in awhile she'll take a few bites but mainly Mikey eats it.
I've tried various freeze dried toppers, usually to no avail, she'll eat a few bites or just the surface of the rabbit with the topper...
Has anyone had luck with TC's Gourmet Carnivore beef & liver for an IBD cat?
I've been hesitant about beef for various reasons but I'm running out of low carb, carrageenan and guar gum free options. Not to mention that every other food we try is loaded with disaccharides e.g., potatoes, sweet...
I need to find a new probiotic for my two cats, specifically for my IBD Molly. (I'm posting this question via the raw forum bc I think I remember a few raw feeders using Nexabiotic.)
I have been using Wholistic Feline Digest the last couple of months, however, WFD contains...
So I found out today that Whole Life will be coming out with a freeze dried cooked ("gently steamed") food for cats and dogs some time in March.
My cats love the WL treats, we use the turkey. A pinch of WL works great on top of food that a cat might otherwise reject, if you're trying to...
I manged to get a few cans of Lotus Just Juicy Turkey Stew today, wow .... both cats inhaled it! It's shredded turkey (and only turkey - a single protein food) and while the ingredients list "potato starch" there is far less starch than I've noticed in other foods. For example, just about every...
Interesting info from the Cornucopia Institute re: pet food ingredients (linked from TAPF); an overview of the report as well as a buyers guide on which foods contain e.g., rendered ingredients, carrageenan, food dyes, which are certified organic, etc.
Not all foods on the market were included...
