Yes.  I've had him to the vets a few times.  His ears are clear of any infection now.  They suspect he had a virus either in utero or when he was a very tiny kitten.

It sounds like she's going to need lots of time and patience.  When you go into the room, try lying on the floor by the bed and talk softly to her.  Offer her treats to see if she'll come out.  After doing this for a few days, try to engage her in play.  Get a teaser wand and see if she'll chase...
