Hi all and thanks in advance for any interest in this topic. I rescued an Occi/Bengal x about a year and a half ago. The story is that a breeder was in the process of surrendering a very sickly Bengal kitten (with a sketchy pedigree) at four weeks of age.. Thankfully, the clinic recommended the...

I'm afraid my cat might have been seriously misdiagnosed - please chime in!

I agree. Not that I didn't have an award winning rant, myself, on this matter ... but, it was one of empathy; if people can't share similar experience to encourage dialogue on what seems to be a fairly common occurrence these days(lack or compassion/tolerance for pets and their people) nothing...

I'm afraid my cat might have been seriously misdiagnosed - please chime in!

I just read this entire thread and think it should be published, everywhere. Not only is it a testimony to what so many of us have gone through with misdiagnoses (and the vets who have made us all feel idiotic and malingering at one time or another) it's worth reading for the dry wit alone...

    Hi all, I'm new! :)

wow, a brown snake? That must have been traumatic. I bet people would be amazed to hear how harsh a brown snake's bite can be (and how many predators kitty's and humans can bump into in your fair country). Pretty amazing that you're so young and looking after a house full of rescues with some...

    HELP!!!

... just one more thing, if you're comfortable stating your location, I'm sure there are others (including myself) who would be happy to help look into what's available to you for help with the kitten and also maybe trying to get some help for the mother and male.

    HELP!!!

I agree with StefanZ and Di and Bob. The kitten was likely dropped in transportation (probably to a place where this tom couldn't get at her litter), she's is likely in heat, again, and although instinctively protective of her poor kittens, this male cat is a suitor and ... he will kill that...

    How do you accept?

Alisa's and Bob and Di's suggestion's are wonderful. To put your keepsakes in that box is a lovely way to keep your treasures with you, always. We travel a lot with my husband's work so I opted for cremation and the little Murrdawg comes with us everywhere ... Like I mentioned I have his urn and...

    Stella

Alisa, I finally had a chance to read your Stella's story. And, unfortunately, I know al about FeLV as I guess you know from reading my comment about precious Murray on the 'How do you accept' Thread. I am so sorry for your loss. Carrying her around in your hoodie, reminds me so much of when...

    How do you accept?

I know exactly what you mean about interacting with your Cocoa. I talk to Murray all the time as if he's here. We recently moved and I have a pretty wicker hamper with everything of his, including his ashes; blanket, toys, bed ... the list goes on. I walked into a room and one of the packers...
