Dear all,
Thank you for your forum posts as they have been immensely helpful. Hugo and I are in the midst of transitioning over to raw. He was previously on a diet of grain free wet and dry and we're transitioning due to the recent discovery and bout of FORL where some teeth were extracted. So...
Not sure if it this is the right forum.
Hugo has always been on a grainfree diet of wet and dry together (Acana, Sheba and some air dried raw as topper). He has a water fountain that he drinks quite frequently from. Recently (as in two days ago), I have started to give him fresh home grown...
I have the Pioneer teardrop fountain (stainless steel) and it is very easy to use. Hugo took it like a pro and even drinks out of it when I switch it off at night. The engine is easy to clean too
Under a year old - he will be a ferocious eater till 1 or so.
I feed dry and wet - mainly because of my schedule, cost and also that Hugo doesn't like formulas, pates or gravy. He gets by on a good grainfree diet of Orijen, Sheba wet and some bits of freeze dried raw toppings as incentive.
He...
Dear all,
Thank you for all your advice over the years and it has been key to my education of bringing Hugo as my first cat who has just crossed 2 years of age.
Now the time has come that I leave my job and move back home (international air flight within Asia - 4 hours, pets not allowed in...
Yes... For the OP, I can't help noticing that the top few ingredients in the kibbles you listed
Chicken meal, chicken, brown rice, dehulled barley, oatmeal, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols – source of vitamin e), potatoes, natural chicken flavour, whole dried egg, herring meal...
Hmm... There is still carbs in the dry food. Just from personal experience, Hugo sometimes get brown rice in his wet food and I find that he gets hungry earlier than say grainfree wet food (alas, he has no liking for merricks). Also, you did not mention how old your cats are - kittens tend to...
Dear people,
I am writing because I have a tendency to freak out and that nearly 2 year old hugo is my first cat. Over the last two weeks, I have discovered that Hugo now pees 3 times daily (one more than usual) and the third is usually a smaller clump (3/4 size the others) compared to others...
My not so small fella and suckler has always slept with me since day one. The pic above is the first day that he moved in with me and it was a very early morning meeting at the SPCA for paperwork. He's a snuggler both for warmth and even in summer though he was quite a handful as a kitten in...
I'm kinda stuck on this and need some advice. I adopted Hugo close to 1.5 years ago and we have quite a good relationship (he like to suckles on my t-shirts). We have feliway in the bedroom where I sleep and he dozes sometimes. He poops and pees quite regularly and his diet is a mix of 6 oz of...
Hugo is now 1.5 year old and has always knead, suckled and drooled on my t-shirts (only after I showered and am wearing said garment). They say it has to do with being weaned early but I don't know. All I can say is that I'm not sure if Hugo will ever outgrow that though he suckles less now.
Hugo has been on Orijen Cat & Kitten since I adopted him. I never had issue and am hearing about the by products issue just now. I do try to make his meals half wet and half dry. I used to add water to his dry but stopped doing that because of all the reasons.
Anyhow, I think Orijen is one of...
Mine just started smelling plasticky after 1 year or so. I unplugged it and plugged it in again but it smelt the same. I just gave up and went out to buy a new diffuser. I think someone said it should be replaced every 6 months to a year I think
Hugo is about 1.5 years old and about 12 pounds. I would say he eats quite a bit - 6 oz of wet and 1 primal nugget spilt into two meals and mixed together. He also gets 60 g of Orijen dry which he doesn't finish. The dry is just to keep him alright while when I am at work.
