Thank you! She is home and very tired! In an e-collar because she won't leave her incision alone, but otherwise great! I am so tankful for the support of this site!
Thank you.I honestly don't know why i was so panicked this morning. I was not like this when Luna was spayed! I can't wait to pick Penny up tomorrow and fortunately I will be off and be home with her the next few days.
I’m really glad you asked this “stupid” question. I’m sitting in the car with Penny as I type waiting for the vet to open for her spay and I am near panic level. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one.
The weird thing is she does not do it after I go to sleep. Only when I am awake in bed watching TV. Shutting her out is not an option as I have 2 other cats who will beat the door down if they are locked out at night. As of now I have ben making the “ssssssss” noise (which works well for keeping...
Penny is between 5 and 6 months now, she really isn't an aggressive cat, but she has started this habit of biting my arm when I am awake in bed at night.
She doesn't do it any other time. She will wrap her front and back lags around my arm and attack. She's just playing, but I want to nip it in...
I have a 5 gallon betta tank that sits on my kitchen counter (with my Betta Archie) as well as 3 cats. Penny and Luna show interest in the fish or the tank. but Zoey likes to cuddle up next to the tank (the water is warmer than the air in my house) and watch the fish. The tank has a lid, but she...
I too adopted my Zoey already declawed from a shelter. Bless you for giving homes to these kittens.
I believe when I was a kid and my family declawed a cat we used paper instead of litter. I'm not sure if this is still recommended.
I love the name Nym! And I feel you, the first day I took Penny to the vet, before checking the tech said, "I hate to break it to you, but you're Penny may be a Peter"
I know that I have a Classic (Zoey) and a Mackerel (Penny) Tabby, but I am wondering if you can help me identify what type my Mom and Brother's tabbies are. I know the pics aren't so great, but my mom's phone is ancient haha

In my experience it is even a little easier with kittens, because older cats aren't as threatened by kittens as by full gorwn cats. But yes, you should basically do the same procedures.
I'm not 100% sure. All I know is that she was dropped of just before Christmas, spayed, declawed and just around a year old. I thought maybe she would end up having litterbox or biting issues, but she does not. So why they got rid of her is a mystery.
