In addition to my 5 resident cats I also foster kittens. It's not usually a big deal, but I got a call from a friend today about this kitten they'd found, but couldn't keep. When they brought her too me she is extremely emaciated,u can feel every bone. I bathed her and the water was pinkish...
I'm fostering a pregnant cat, we just got her three days ago and not really sure how far along she is, she's not that big, but you can feel the babies moving when you palpate her stomach, so I'm guessing she's probably close but just not carrying very many. So this morning got up to clean the...
Does anyone else have a cat that is obsessed with a certain toy? I mean all my other cats have their favorites, but our newest addition since last November, Twilight has this braided rope toy that she is obsessed with. She is almost 6 months old and ever since we got that rope she has claimed...
She's one of our strays that adopted us, she's normally an outside cat and we thought she must be spayed because we've had her a few years now and never seen any kittens. We brought her in a few weeks ago thinking she was going to pop any time now, but we're still waiting on the kittens. We...
Poor miss Cracker, one of our outside strays, when she goes missing we assume she is staying in the neighbor's barn, because we see her down that way sometimes. Well she was missing for a couple weeks, Skye heard her crying last night and found her stuck under our porch, for who knows how long...
My daughter found him like this
...and he didn't even move when she sat beside him...lol.
He just randomly crawled up there right before I set the table and he sat there the entire meal like he was waiting for his plate...I love the look he's giving my son.
My cat Nestle, who is about 1 and a half years old, jumped up to sit with me here at the computer and I noticed he is shivering. He has fallen asleep and is still shivering, but it has gotten a little less intense. He hasn't been acting sick at all, he's his usual playful and silly self. I...
I am just frustrated at the moment and need a place to vent. It irks me to no end when people get rid of their cats for behaviors that could have been prevented with simply neutering them early. My niece is on her second cat, the first one they gave away because it was getting aggressive with...
So I must share another crazy cat lady story. Last night Brownie was hacking like she was going to have a furball or something and Nestle (her brother from the same litter)came running over to her looking concerned. After she stopped hacking he put his front paw around her neck and was licking...
My sweet Fritos will be 9 on Friday
Coconut...whose name fits his personality
The princess, Brownie on the lurk in the tunnel
Nestle waiting for belly rubs
This is actually a question for my sister's cat. Apparently the other day her husband was in the bathroom when he heard a loud sound and went into the living room and saw nothing out of place, but the cat was crouched in the middle of the room looking terrified. This cat is about 1 year old...
My daughter and I volunteer on Saturdays that I have off at the local SPCA. Basically we just walk dogs and then "socialize" the kitties. Which interprets to playing with all the cute kitties. Anyhow yesterday there were two adorable little kittens there, that must have some Scottish fold in...
My husband took this one, just before I came home from work the other day.
Then there was some position changes later and Fritos had left, but Nestle came up. I love Coconut's expression, he was literally on top of the other two.
Close up of Nestle's adorable sleeping face <3
Sunning himself in front of the space heater, this needs a caption.lol.
My daughter was petting him and this is how he layed down beside her. I love all my cats equally, but Nestle is definately a very unique cat, he's always making us giggle.
This is how I found him the other day, very relaxed kitty.
You would think this is the same nap, but actually between pics he was up, had a snack and wrestled with his sister, Brownie. Apparently he really likes this position.
Fritos is the one in front, my 8 year old who is not feeling very good lately. Him and Brownie have been buds since we got the kittens in the spring. He's supposed to be in isolation so I can figure out if he's peeing and pooping, but somehow she snuck in. I couldn't possibly make her leave.
Fritos, who is my oldest cat at 8 years old and has always been my favorite "baby" even though your not supposed to pick favorites, has not been feeling well for a while now. I've noticed off and on for the past month or so, he'll have days where he just lies around all day sleeping and when...
