When to fix my 4 month old kittens??

I just had our 18 week old male done yesterday and his sister goes in next Friday. Their mother came to us pregnant as a stray.  I take them to a low cost clinic that advocates TNR. The criteria is at least 12 weeks of age AND at least 2 pounds.

    Nursing cat with diarrhea

Sorry, accidentally hit the send button before I was finished.  I took her off of the kitten food and put her on a sensitive system type food, and by the evening, while not well, her stool had some firmness. Today, her stools are normal again. I do think it was the food. She was allowed free...

    Nursing cat with diarrhea

Thank you both for your replies.  I have not had her dewormed. When she arrived her June 6, pregnant, I did not know how far along she was and did not worm or vaccinate her for fear of it hurting the unborn kittens.

    Nursing cat with diarrhea

Our adopted mama cat had kittens two weeks ago yesterday. We had her approx 4 weeks before she delivered. We put her on a blue buffalo kitten food at that time and she tolerated that well. She has done well in the weeks since until Sunday, when I noticed a soft stool she did not cover in the...

    Waiting and waiting.........

Yes, she did want us close. She is an affectionate cat but that evening, she was SUPER affectionate. She always liked petting but she was in our laps, which was different for her. She also, out of nowhere, walked up and attacked our Maltese. We knew that behavior was way out of character for her...

Kittens born 7-1 one not thriving?

#5 seems to be catching on a bit more. She roots around well but even when placed by a nipple, she doesn't seem to know to attach. However, I did see her twice to day attached up by the "front", if you will. She scoots around pretty well. She is just not aggressive like the others. She's...

Kittens born 7-1 one not thriving?

#5 born last night does not seem to be thriving. Seems lathargic in that it does not mew or make a sound when removed, turned on it;s back, etc. The others are quite noisy and vigorous to find nipples. When the other's were sleeping, I tried to stimulate this one awake an place it on a nipple...

The wait is over - Big mama is pushing

Well shut the front door and get me some math tutoring. Apparently, after I went to bed, 40 minutes after the 5th kitten, Big mama had a 6th kitten. It is hidden in the above pic. My eldest teen came in this morning to see all the new additions and Big Mama met us at the door. With her out of...

The wait is over - Big mama is pushing

Here they are ! All 5 little sweet mewing babies. They are laying almost in order from left to right. Solid black on left is the biggest of the blacks. Followed by the tabby with 4 white feet, chest and white tummy, then the second black, who is smaller but I am sure will need to find some other...

The wait is over - Big mama is pushing

#2 is a correction. It is a tabby with 4 whites. #3 came, a black, came at 10:36, #4 an orange came at 10:53. #5 another tabby with 4 whites and chest. Maybe underneath also. I hope she's done. It's a chorus in the closet and she and I are both whipped.
