cat won't stop meowing at roommate's door

Well, you have described the solution, it's just that you are not happy with it. Apparently they stop  meowing if the doors are open and they can decide themselves where they would like to sleep and when. I think the problem is rather that you would like to spend time with your cats when you are...

She was feral now very domesticated but I worry...

I agree. Get her spayed as soon as she has weaned her kittens. You may want to spay /neuter the kittens when they turn 4 months. If you have the chance to adopt them out earlier, you can talk with your vet to spay/neuter them when they weigh more than 2lb. If she can raise her kittens in your...

Beginner trying to trap and rescue possibly sick cat!

Don't give up and be patient. It is awesome what you do! Many TNR people establish a feeding schedule weeks before they would even try to trap. And even if perfectly prepared, it is still not easy and many cats get away several times before finally they go into the trap  :-)

    Cat biting our carpet

The reason why she prefers the potting soil as bathroom over the litter is that the litter probably hurts her paws. She is simply trying to avoid pain. Declawing means cutting off her toes, it's an amputation. The nerves at the end of her paws have become very sensitive now. She may get other...

    Unknown diagnosis

I would also if she had a complete bloodwork. Could be symptom of a nutrition deficiency. ----- What did the vets test?

Once a bully, always a bully?

You could try to help her relax with Feliway diffusers in each room or a pheromone collar.

    Moistening Kibble

Sorry that I'm not much more of a help regarding your questions, but I would start to mix wet food into her soaked dry food and gradually transition her to wet food only. That (or raw) seems to be the healthiest option, in my opinion. You would also not have to worry about her water intake...

    Moistening Kibble

May I ask why you wouldn't just switch her to wet food?

No improvement diahrea is worse :(

Did the vet also check  for bacterial overgrowth (e.coli etc) ?  And IBD?  It sounds likely to be IBD, in my opinion.

No improvement diahrea is worse :(

It's alarming that she is losing weight and that there is blood in her stool. She also is at risk to dehydrate. You really should take her to a vet.

    Indoor/outdoor cat acting odd

Is he eating well? Does he use his litter box regularly? If you are worried, I can only recommend to have him checked by a vet. Please get both boys neutered.   I'm not surprised that they have these fights and growl at each other. It is very stressful for them. I am convinced the situation...

What is the stinkiest wet food you know of?

Try Fancy Feast  Elegant Medley Yellow Fin Tuna. This has always worked with congested URI kittens here. Smear a bit under his lips and offer him the food on a teaspoon that you hold right under his nose. Talk to him and pet him, just entice him to eat and be patient.  Sometimes they need a...

Litter box training for cats rescued from a hoarder

I see. I was under the impression that the fiber may help to make the stool fluffy. I'll try clam juice and plain cream. He likes his wet food soup, so the intake of water is not  bad.  He is now peeing three times a day, normal amounts.  (He started with one small pee the first day)  I assume...

Litter box training for cats rescued from a hoarder

Lrosewies,  I'll switch him to pine as soon as he is ready. I agree, pine litter works so well for  my cats too.

Litter box training for cats rescued from a hoarder

He is super lovely and cuddly. It's amazing. At least the hoarder treated them nicely. I'm so glad to report that he doesn't seem to have a problem to find his box!! For the time being he is in a confined area though, there are not many other options as  either to use the box or the bed. He...
