Should I be concerned about this?

Hi Mittens They eventually grew back in. We think he just scratched or rubbed the fur off in that area.

Is it normal for a kitten to hide for two weeks?

NO problem. And please let us see pics of your little fella when he's bold enough to finally come out of hiding :) Here is Magnus a few days after we got him. he'd play with us from under the bed. I'd try and draw him out with toys. You can see he's still a bit shy in this video, but curiosity...

Is it normal for a kitten to hide for two weeks?

oh also if he's food motivated, reward him with treats for doing things you want him to do (like if he sits in your lap, he gets a treat, or if he is playing with you under the bed and you get him to come out form under the bed to play, then he gets a treat etc.). I wanted my cat to sleep on the...

Is it normal for a kitten to hide for two weeks?

Sounds like my cat when I first got him (he was five months old and had been living outside his whole life). He stayed under my bed for a month. I didn't bother him and kept the door to the bedroom closed so he had his space. He'd come out to eat and use his box and would purr and play under...

Cat suddenly a picky eater: Should this be a cause of concern?

wow yeah I would freak if he hadn't eaten in 24-48 hours. I should clarify to the above post that he had eaten his breakfast at 5.30 AM and then gone without eating his lunch (noon) other than a few mouthfuls and dinner (5 PM). He eventually caved at ate dinner at 9 PM. So I guess that was a...

Cat suddenly a picky eater: Should this be a cause of concern?

Ah ha! won today's round. It took him FOUR hours to eat it, but he eventually ate it. I am afraid of spoiling but I had it in a coolish spot. I may put stuff away after 10 min in future if he does not eat it right away and only bring it out again when he whines.

Cat suddenly a picky eater: Should this be a cause of concern?

you could be right. we are currently locked into a battle of wills over a can of Natural Balance cat food lol (He ate his portion of wet food this morning but wouldn't eat lunch and so far has not eaten dinner, but I won't cave until he eats it). If he goes hungry tonight then he'll just be...

Cat suddenly a picky eater: Should this be a cause of concern?

Hi Vball, yes everything else is fine. Magnus does not drink water (or very rarely does) and never has though. However, all of his food is wet or raw so I am not too concerned about it as he gets moisture from that. On really hot days I'll add a little water into his wet food too to make sure...
