As a Catholic I definitely celebrate Christmas - but at the same time I really dislike the commercialization going on. I hope everyone has a beautiful and refreshing Christmas or holiday of your choice
@xKitty Loverx Beautiful drawing! I love the way you represent fur!
@clmgordon Doodling counts as drawing the sea creatures would make really nice stamps or stencils, I could totally see them at the bottom of a letter or by a signature.
I'm getting a two year degree in art right now, and...
@cat nap
Yup, I love my loft bed (almost as much as the cats do ). It's a nice sturdy metal one from IKEA so no worries about rolling off the edge, haha! It was so fun seeing the kitties, especially Mourek since he was a kitten, learning to climb the ladder up into the bed. He scrambled up...
@cat nap Thank you so much!! Sorry for not replying earlier, I had a rather busy week.
You gave me some excellent advice and I'll definitely try everything; especially the scent swapping and safe spaces for Mourek. He's the cuddliest and sweetest cat ever, so I'll be sure to give him plenty...
Hi @cat nap !
Thank you so much! We'll definitely be crate training the pup, so hopefully that will help the cats When we brought Amber home, she slept most of the day and that gave the kitties plenty of chances to sniff her and get used to her without Amber trying to play. Amber was very...
Hello all! I've searched the forums and gathered some advice but I'd really appreciate some fresh insight :)
My family is bringing home an eight week old purebred German Shepherd puppy in about four months. We have two cats, a thirteen year old (Mici), and a six year old (Mourek). Both are...
I know Mourek's birthday is July 11, 2010, and his "gotcha day" is sometime in mid September of the same year.
Mici's exact birthday is uncertain but I know it's sometime in October of 2003, and her "gotcha day" is sometime in mid December of the same year.
Matti (RIP angel) was Mici's sister...
I have a feeling that everyone thinks their cat/cat breed is the most intelligent ;)
With that said, it really depends on what you consider intelligence. I think that Siamese and Abyssinians are generally considered some of the smartest cats because they are easy to train and often "problem...
I've had this one forever: The Encyclopedia of the CAT (link to Amazon)
It has basically everything about cats, from history and folklore to cat care and breeds. Very decent photographs and very informative. One of the best, really!
I have a few more cat books and I'll see if I can find a...
This is cool! I know Mici really likes Enya (example: A Day Without Rain), whenever I would put on a CD she would move to that room and curl up to sleep by the radio. Soon I got the message and play Enya by the cat tree or whatever her favourite sleeping place at the time is.
This is my kind of question haha! I really can't stand any meat, bread (includes sweet bread and pastries and cake), potatoes, garlic, pasta, crisps (like potato crisps), most nuts, and most sweets... I think I'm forgetting something...
@betsygee my mum has the same reaction to raisins!
I have a feeling that being a "cat lady" or "cat man" has more to do with how obsessed you are with cats rather than how many cats you have. People know me as the cat girl - I only have 2 cats, but I love everything to do with cats and I post cat links to my social media all the time. I say you...
No I hadn't thought of that! It sounds like an interesting idea but our rental contract says no more pets than what we have now :(
As an update, Mici seems quite happy living in the room and everyone is getting more used to the arrangement. It looks like nobody is going anywhere :)
Thank you so much, everyone!! I will keep all of your words in mind when going through the list of options.
I will repeat that a shelter is out of the question, and always has been. We will not give Mici to a shelter, ever. It would be a "private" rehoming to someone we know, if anything...
Thank you both! I'm not sure if I was unclear, but it's Mourek who is aggressive, not Mici. That's why we would rehome Mici, because we would not want to rehome an aggressive cat, and moreover Mici would have an easier time readjusting.
The vet visit is a good idea, we will try that - thanks <3
