I did run into two moose.
There is a proof, action camera has quite large field of view, so it barely shows up, but in person it was a lot bigger:
I did ride almost 50km in a forest when I went camping, had a tent and all.
@Norachan, you have to be careful that wind does not blow you off!!!
I went to ride last night as neighbor was behaving unsocial again with yelling and loud music.
What amazed me, was that there was still ice on top of ditch in shadowy place and also there were huge piles of snow at one yard.
We have had temps near or at 80F for quite some time already, which...
I did saw meltwater yesterday's ride though, but could not spot snow where it was coming from, place was dense forest with a cliff so that there was shadow.
We do have mosquitoes now though!
Pics from yesterday's ride (you need to click bigger to see trail in another one properly):
Ignoring a cat is sometimes making cat like a person more than any attempt of making cat like a person.
Sideways and not looking is easier for cat to tolerate than straight ahead looking to cat's eyes (latter is saying "you are my target").
Biting trough blanket ?
Mole, mice etc. move inside the grass, can't see, but can hear, can feel the movement with whiskers, move hand under the blanket and that is triggering hunting instinct, it is enough to move a finger rubbing against the linen, there is enough sound to get cat going...
Each individual has personal space and tolerance of disturbances to that space, it varies individual to individual how much is tolerated.
By clapping next to cat's head, there is chance of hearing loss and very probably cause of pain.
From cat point of view, you were an intruder that wanted to...
Eken H9, but make sure you have Class 10 UHS II memory card, Class 10 UHS I might work if it is really really fast, but not with slow UHS I card. My card is slower and I can't use best image quality because of that.
Also USB Battery bank is very handy as one can run camera then lot longer than...
80.6 degrees (27C), indoors and outdoors, that is not fun, has been such for several days and I did one outdoor ride, but did dry out really badly. That was 45km ride.
Also because of pollen issues had to use filtering mask, which does not help with the hot.
Some indoor cycling too, but that...
That is more steps than I have done, I think my best months have been around 300 000 steps, but this month is only bit over 31 000 steps as I have been taken hostage by pollen invasion, so it is just indoors for me until some time next month.
I did bike ride yesterday, only 30 minutes, but I'm...
I don't think they would allow that dangerous road here, big trees and rocks right next to it and pavement at edge is really broken, but also that road does look really pretty!
I like to read from your rides, great to see all that passion in you now with new bike :)
So what I have been doing ... umm... let's see:
I did ride over 160km with bike indoors last week, that is right, without leaving comforts of home.
Then I have been commuting with bike, have been swapping bike tires twice a day, little software tool developing as well as found out that because...
We had thunder today, I don't recall there being thunder this early quite often, we still have good bit of snow!
Yesterday I did 1 hour hike and there was 30cm of snow at forest areas. We had more snow than usually so it takes time to melt.
Should of brought camera with me.
There was some...
There was a snail on bike path today, so I guess we will have other creeps soon too. Last week it was -13.8C at coldest place of this country.
There are still snow at shady places like ski paths, but only a little, it has been melting quite quickly now.
Today I did ride 1 hour and 45 minutes...
@foxxycat, woohoo you did reach a goal! :D
Achieving something feels always so great, really happy for you :)
I did ride 2 hours today, just very easy riding, there are something wrong and until I figure out what it is, I try to take bit easier, but I don't want to take easy for too long as...
