I met one great-grandmother once when I was very young and she was very old, there's a picture but I don't remember. But nobody reproduced young in my family and my mom is the youngest so her parents were close to 40 when she was born, so all of my great-grandparents were gone before I could...
When I was about 12 or 13 we had a homeschool group get-together to watch a lunar eclipse and then started look for other things. One dad had a decent telescope and found Saturn, so we all took turns looking. But at that distance things are moving pretty quickly so it kept moving out of view and...
I have a list app on my phone and add to it whenever I think of something. I have a separate list for each store I go to.
If I didn't have a list I'd forget everything I actually needed and would buy everything I didn't actually need.
What's their background story? If you didn't get them from a breeder, they almost certainly aren't purebreds. But in some areas, irresponsible breeders have allowed some cats to escape, so Bengal mixes are not unheard of, but it would likely be a few generations back.
Is she a purebred Bombay? If so, you can ask the breeder what size her mother is.
But yeah some females are pretty small, I've had some that were only 5-6 pounds full-grown.
My vet says she's going to start doing tattoos (well she said it last time I was in, so maybe she's doing it already) because she's "re-spayed" too many cats. But yeah it does seem silly to do it to males, lol, but I guess as long as they're out you might as well.
Yeah that's what it is here too.
I was 19, I think I got my permit and license just a couple months apart. I put it off as long as I could; I didn't really want to drive, plus my parents said I'd have to pay for the insurance increase, but it's just a necessity here.
I honestly don't remember...
Oh they were talking about this on the radio morning show! The map says Fritos, but nobody here eats Fritos as a snack. The only thing the radio show people came up with is that maybe Frito pie recipes and chili additions boost sales. But nobody is sitting down to a bowl of Fritos.
My name doesn't lend itself to shortening, but if someone did, I wouldn't know who they were talking to. That's not my name!
My brother has a name that is often shortened but he goes by his full name. If someone is just joking around or being silly he'll allow a shortened version but he'll...
I'm extremely near-sighted, with a bad astigmatism. I wear glasses all the time. I first got glasses when I was 8, but I'm pretty sure I needed them before that but didn't know any different. They're still single-vision, the eye doctor says to expect to need bifocals soon but no complaints yet...
I don't like listening to stuff. I think I have a touch of Sensory Processing Disorder, so it's hard for me to get everything when listening. I have to use the captions when watching shows/movies. When I do need to listen to something, I try to find the transcript. . .might as well just read it!
Neither of my grandmothers cooked. So my parents don't either. Plus my dad has autism-related ARFID are there are like 5 things he'll eat, so my mom gave up a long time ago. She makes whatever he wants (usually plain rice with sausage or fishsticks) and a pre-packaged salad for herself.
When I...
It is. . .but I do love wandering around Ikea, lol. And some of the food places at the Mall are great.
Most of the tourists here are pheasant hunters, and they aren't great. They generally stumble around drunk, shooting wherever they please, and often leave their dogs behind when they go. It's...
While I'm no fan of DeJoy, I have to be fair and say it's not entirely his fault. The pandemic messed up SO much. A lot of Boomers/older Gen X are retiring. Cars cost too much. Pay isn't keeping up with the need for more employees (Walmart starting pay is like $1 less than rural carrier starting...
