I took Jack ( yes he was given a name ) to the vets this evening he has a nasty abcess that needed to be look at ... and the vet offered to neuter him right then and there ... so I agreed they called me like 40 mins later it was all done and I pick him up at 9 am ...smh...

Tigger did amazing after his dental .... ate like a champ for days afterwards, mind u he was on an appetite stimulate for 5 days his last pain med tramadol was Thursday...so yesterday he ate about 4 small meals I was comfy with that he ate at 9 am today but has refused all meals and it's been 12...

Well its all over...he will spend the night and all day tomorrow at the hospital....Was told he did well and it wasn't as bad as he expected...a few teeth were removed but one he said he could clearly tell would have been causing all the pain...He said he cleaned it up and "hopefully" got it all...

I guess all his pain meds and appetite stimulant have worn off :( he ate a good am meal but again won't have anything to do with food tonight ....and isn't moving again sleeping all afternoon ...and is in his fav spot beside the wood stove ...I can't believe this roller coaster ohhhh he ate I'm...

Nope nothing like that ...nothing that I am aware of has changed....She ate so far about half of what she normally eats in one day....but I will try to get more into her this evening.....she is drinking fine and actually totally normal...but has been trying her  hardest to get outside to eat...

Thats interesting...I had in my head that a feeding tube was much bigger deal...in fact only takes 10 mins to put in place....sounds way  better than  force feeding....I have had to force feed a few cats in my time and it never went well at all.....most times the food didnt' get consumed or...

She started to eat at the vets after the anti nauesa shot.....she was eating while there I picked he up at 4 yesterday and she ate at home yesterday....This morning she did eat but not alot so far...As far as force feeding...my vets are totally against it....saying it can cause more...

Yes they checked her teeth yesterday....she is at the vet now....got all blood work back and guess what its all normal...the vet has no idea what's causing this...she is in IV fluids and I told her to give her anti nausea shot...Well I hope this 24 hr stay at the hospital gets he back on track...

Today is day 3 and she is not interested in any food I try to give her... I took her to he vet yesterday and they gave her mirtazapine and it did nothing ...she still won't eat...They suggested if she didn't eat today she needs to be hospialized ...and put on IV fluids even tho she was not...

Thanks for the replies....I read the link u sent thank you ...But didn't see anything about giving it to a senior cat with  a bad heart and kidney's ..I guess maybe its wishful thinking on my part that she could be givin something that won't do anymore damage to her organs ...The abscess stopped...
