    worried kitten owner

My cats both like skim milk and other dairy products as treats, and it's never had adverse effects. But I've read that some cats may have problems with dairy products. The blood does sound like a worm or other parasite, and probably has nothing to do with the milk.

Have you ever Hissed at your cat??

I've tried hissing at my cats, but they either ignore it or look at me like I'm crazy. I must not be doing it right.

    Your cats' birthdays

Do you do anything special to celebrate your cats' birthdays? I usually get them a helium balloon that says "Happy Birthday" on it. They sometimes like to play with the string.

Why do some pet stores cater more to dogs?

Cats are more self-reliant (and intelligent) than dogs, and don't need to be pampered with "stuff".

    Dog poop in America

Check with the local police department that has jurisdiction for the area. If they're violating the law, take pictures as evidence and report it to them.

    Caretaker expenses and taxes

I wonder if an organization such as that would be feasible on a national, or even international level. Anyone could join and then claim their feral cat expenses as tax deductible. I suppose not, because the IRS would find it too difficult to verify claims.

    Disobedient cat.

I think the only sure way to prevent a cat from climbing onto a surface is to make it impossible, or at least very difficult, for the cat to do so. Maybe you could get a mesh-like cloth that you could drape tightly over the top of the computer equipment that prevents the cat from finding a...

Cat knocking things off my dresser

One of my cats used to push items off tables. Sometimes he seemed to do it to get my attention. Sometimes I think he just did it out of curiosity. He would push an object onto the floor, then watch it for a few seconds, as if he expected it to do something interesting. He mostly grew out of...

Are my cats fighting or playing?

It sounds to me as if they're just playing, as long as no actual injuries are occurring. My two cats, who are almost seven years old and brothers, act the same way. One of them did get a scratch on his nose recently, which I suspect was inflicted by his brother; I try to keep their claws...

Litter tracking into residual shower water

Maybe you could also replace the carpet with a rubber or plastic one that's easier to clean. A doormat intended for outdoor use might work, such as: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Aqua-Classic-Outdoor-Entry-Mat/15739116

    litter box training please help

Can you find out what kind of litter she was using previously? If you can use the same brand and type, or match it as closely as possible, that might help.

    Cat Jealous of New Baby

That would be a easy thing to try then. And it's free. It seems analogous to introducing a new cat into the house. The resident cat will be jealous, and needs to be shown that he's not getting slighted. After all, babies are commonplace. Cats are special. :eyebrows:

    Cat Jealous of New Baby

Are they giving the cat lots of attention, maybe even more than usual, so that the cat knows that he/she is not being neglected because of the baby?
