What would you do? I need help and fast...I can't do this anymore!! (long, but asap

Thank you for your responses. I didn't mention that Sophie has been neutered since six months of age. That was maybe over 4 years ago. FOUR years of this and it's only gotten worse. I've also mentioned trying cat attract and feliway for a very long time and I should have mentioned the enzyme...

What would you do? I need help and fast...I can't do this anymore!! (long, but asap

I've posted here many times about my cat Sophie. Sophie is a male. I adopted Sophie at 6 weeks because his mother abandoned him. I will refer to him as "she", I apologize, he was very underdeveloped when we first got him and even the vet made the mistake until MONTHS in. So there's always...

How does one go about "rehoming"?!

If I have to rehome two of my cats, it will absolutely break my heart into pieces...but in my current living circumstances, that may very well be the case. I am fighting it, but I need to be prepared. I've asked friends and family and none are interested (just as I suspected) in taking older...

Question for a friend, tiny black spots all over tummy that isn't fleas?

Well she's all nervous and taking him to the vet in the morning. She said none of the other cats have this or are showing any symptoms of anything. How strange.

Question for a friend, tiny black spots all over tummy that isn't fleas?

Interesting....she said she shaved his belly and there are hundreds and some flake off?!!! It doesn't sound very serious, just mysterious. (I hope!!)

Question for a friend, tiny black spots all over tummy that isn't fleas?

I have a friend who noticed today that her cat has tiny black spots all over his tummy. They aren't fleas so I took to the internet to see if there was anything likely and couldn't find anything. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Out of all the cats I've had, I've never seen anything like...

*sigh* I feel like a failure...declawing question ahead...

I called MYSELF stupid because it was stupid to come on an anti-declaw site and share my experiences knowing how riled up people get (and even I've gotten riled up in the past when people casually attempt the subject, but this is NOT NOT NOT a casual attempt at approaching the subject). I came...

*sigh* I feel like a failure...declawing question ahead...

The whole "towel" thing doesn't work. The getting down and putting her between my legs so she can't escape, doesn't work. Nothing works. I guess it was stupid to come on here and expect to get any support in this type of decision. I was just really hoping someone else had been through...

*sigh* I feel like a failure...declawing question ahead...

I think I'd rather be bitten and avoid a mouth than torn up by four paws full of claws on a consistent basis. I've so many times thought about rehoming this cat, but if a cat lover like me who has rescued and turned around so many cats can't make any headway with this cat, why is someone else...

*sigh* I feel like a failure...declawing question ahead...

Okay...I've been on the anti-declaw bandwagon for as long as I can remember. This was never an option for me. Ever. Until my Sophie. I'm at the end of my rope with this cat. I have tried EVERYTHING. I don't have the emotional energy to even type out everything I've done but it's come to a...

Sophie....continued... 3 Years Old and possible kidney failure?!! *LONG.*

Thank you Nance!! I really appreciate it. I'm just worried about what to do for the next two and a half weeks before we can get her in, I just don't want to make ANY condition worse, you know?

Sophie....continued... 3 Years Old and possible kidney failure?!! *LONG.*

The cats free feed on dry but are fed wet two to three times daily. I have two other cats...should I take away the dry altogether? That may be very difficult since we're already spending so much on wet. If we have to increase the wet food beyond what is already fed, aaaaack!!! Also, what...

Sophie....continued... 3 Years Old and possible kidney failure?!! *LONG.*

Oh my goodness, you all have given me so much hope! If it is diabetes and has nothing to do with her kidneys I will feel very relieved. Having a blood panel done by Christmas is nearly impossible. Our vet will not do anything without money upfront (and trust me, we've shopped around for vets...

Sophie....continued... 3 Years Old and possible kidney failure?!! *LONG.*

Okay, my last thread about Sophie was after she was given anti-depressants, which is something we've been flirting with for about a year or two and finally decided it was time. Last year around this time (December 30th), I lost the love of my life and my soulmate, my cat Mutty, 19 years old...

I'm absolutely in tears right now! Advice please!!!!

Oh my god, that's GENIUS!!!!!! Thank you so much! I hope I haven't hurt her esophagus, as she will not drink water and I've been scared to shoot water down her throat because I don't want it to go into her lungs. I didn't even think of getting gelatin capsules. Edited to add::: I wish I...

I'm absolutely in tears right now! Advice please!!!!

Thank you so much!!!!!! Hearing that you have to do this frequently makes me feel better about it. I do wrap her in a towel because the first time I tried, she cut me up ALLLLLLLLLLL over, I was bleeding through my pants and my socks. Maybe tomorrow when she's sleepy I'll try getting it...

I'm absolutely in tears right now! Advice please!!!!

My Sophie has had an anxiety marking problem (and general anger problem) for a long time now and finally we made a decision with the vet to put her on kitty anti-depressants. She WILL NOT take the pill, no matter what I do. I've listened to all the advice, tried to force her to just swallow...

    MP3 players

I have an IPOD Nano.....and I can't speak enough to how great it is. The battery lasts forever. I can go days without charging it (I use it while at work since I work in the computer tech industry). It also holds a ton of music. IMO it's inexpensive for what it accomplishes. Good luck!!

Does this seem insensitive to my religion?

^^ This. Personally, I think you are very much overreacting. The one quote that leads me toward this is you saying that you are "sick of your religion being put on the backburner". As someone already stated, Chanukah is not one of the major Jewish holidays. I practice a religion that is...

    Desperate--very desperate-- for advice!!!!

Someone has a crush on this guy? Oh hun, I remember what it was like to be a Sophomore and I wouldn't go back there in a million years! If his staring is obvious to the teacher, he is clearly being creepy and probably on purpose because he feels rejected. It's hard in general not to be...
