We found a 6 week old(according to the vet) dying kitten in our yard after a nasty storm came through. He was sopping wet, covered in rolly pollies and lice(hundreds of lice! Yucky!), severely dehydrated(odd, considering he was sopping wet), and nothing but skin and bones. :(
When we got home...
I just found this and my cats LOVE it!

It's little critters that move randomly on the computer screen. My cats will play with it all day it I let them!
I had to put one of my kitties in my room for a while and I was worried about the litterbox smelling up the room and also having kitty litter tracked everywhere. Sooo...I had to get a little inventive and since sewing is pretty much the only thing I'm good at, then, naturally, it was...
Wow, where to begin! I haven't posted pics in AGES! Not since my very first joeys came OOP!
Here was my last post about them: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...t=sugar+glider
As a kick-off from there, here are update pics of those first "babies":
Lil' Dude
And with a baby of his own...
To start, in the summer my cat tested positive for giardia. She wasn't showing any symptoms or signs of anything being wrong, but one of my sugar gliders got giardia and we couldn't figure out how, so we tested the cats to see if one of them may have given it to them(at the time we have the...
I have a friend who breeds munchkins and one of her munchies has a litter of kittens that are 8 weeks old. Well, everything was fine and dandy til last week... Last week one of the kittens developed the sniffles, so she was going to take it to the vet in the morning. Well, she woke up and found...
The joeys are turning into little squirmbugs and are whining that they're too old for pic time!)
Anyways, here are some pics of the wigglebutts:
Little Dude
He's already got a full bald spot!!!(sign of secual maturity. Most boys don't get them til around 5/6 months old. Lil' Dude is only 9...
For those that don't know, I have 2 breeding pairs of sugar gliders and both females have joeys in-pouch right now(they're marsupials, they carry their babies in their pouches). Well, Silvara, one of the females, is getting to that point where little joey-parts are starting to stick out of her...
There is a momma cat, her 2 kittens, and a tom cat that hang out behind my apartment. I've been feeding the mom cat for about 2 months and a couple weeks ago she started bringing her 2 kittens with her. The tom cat seems like he used to be someone's pet, but is not pretty skiddish and feral...
Hmmm...that's weird, I thought I'd just posted a thread, but it seems to have disappeared. :\\ Oh well, lol. Here it is!
There's a kitty that was abandoned by his owner and I'm going to catch and neuter him. He's super friendly, but I have to wait til hubby's work schedule changes to the...
There's a little gray kitty that's been hanging around our apartment. She seems to be laying being one of the neighbor's apartment alot so I thought that maybe they owned her, but I doubt it. She looks pretty scraggly though, so it makes me think that no one owns her.
Well, all this time I...
I just went to check on my sugar glider, Silvara, becuase I thought she might be preggers(I caught them mating about 2 weeks ago) and she was due to give birth sometime within the next 24 hours, so I've been checking in on her every few hours.
Well, I just checked and she was giving birth...
Wow! I just realised that I haven't updated ya'll since February(I haven't posted pics since January). That means that I haven't introduced you to my newest additions!
Well, since then I've gotten my first breeding pair: Silvara and Gilthanas! Silvara is a WFB/100% leu het(which means her...
There's someone on a sugar glider forum who just took in some newborn kittens(they still have their cords attached) because mom was run over and the guy was going to run over the kittens too!
Anyways, she's got them in an incubator and one is eating.
I just thought I'd try and find someone on...
I have had my kitties on Innova Evo for a couple month now and they had contant diarrhea, Bestia was barfing up her food at least once a week, they pooped all the time, and when they went it stank up the entire apartment and I had to light matches to cover the smell.
Anyways, I was at the pet...
I'll be getting #5 this sunday! I'm super duper excited!
Her name is Lalana Silvara(the breeder named her Lalana, but I named her Silvara, lol) and she's SOOOOOOOOOO cute! Unlike the standard gray glider, she's REALLY light-colored and looks silver, rather then gray. For any of ya'll that...
MY cat just came out of the litterbox and dragged her butt all over the carpet?!
She's NEVER done that before!
I know with a dog it means that the glands need to be emptied, but I have no clue what it means with a cat!
Is this normal behavior or should I take her to the vet?
I am wondering because I adopted out Emerald(a cat I was "fostering") on December 1. Last week her new owners went out of town and so I'm "kitty-sittin" for them. Emerald's belly is shaved and the hair is bout 1/4-inch long, but there's no evidence of a spay. No scar, no bump, nothing!
Also, I...
