I'll try to clean her up. She's been very sweet and letting me come in and out quietly. I stop and pet her gently to know I'm still her friend and there to help. She doesn't mind me being around the kittens so I will get a weigh on them as soon as another foster brings my scale back this...
Here is mom with the kittens
And here is a close up of all 7 kittens. You can actually see a part of each of them in this picture, instead of a couple being under the others.
Poor mama is still a mess. She's slowly starting to clean herself up. She's still covered in litter and goop...
She had her kittens this morning. She was very quiet about it. My husband got up and found mama and 3 kittens in the litter box. Poor things were completely covered in litter with the cord and placenta still attached. I was able to move mama and babies back to the box and she had 4 more...
We woke up to vomit all over the bathroom this morning. I smelled it, so I know it wasn't diarrhea. She also peed and pooped in her box, but I'm not sure if the door to the litter box accidently got closed by my husband or not.
Is vomiting normal at the end?
I finally caught her lying down without her getting up. I put my hand over her belly and held it there and I could feel the babies move. So maybe not too much longer?
I'm so confused by it. I can feel the babies in there, but I'm not seeing/feeling them move around like you're supposed to. I can't catch her sleeping though to watch her belly since she loves affection so much she gets up when I go in the room.
We were hoping it would be soon because we...
I work with a rescue and have been fostering kittens for a while now. We just picked up a pregnant cat from a shelter and was told she would be ready to give birth any day now. I can feel lumps in her belly but her belly is still a little squishy. Does it get pretty solid at the end? She is...
We keep saying that he's so close to the toilet when he pees in the bathroom sink, he should just go there! LOL
Guess we'll just follow up with the urine test and see what it looks like.
Thanks Jennifer.
He actually does use the litter box, I've watched him! And I do use the cat attract as well. I can understand getting used to peeing in a certain spot, but he's moving to other spots that he hasn't used before. So that's why I'm stumped.
I don't know if I should post this in behavior or health, so I'll stick it in behavior for now.
Our 3 year old cat has taken to peeing in the sink. This has been going on for a little while now. I immediately took a urine sample in to get it checked. It came back fine. So we put a Feliway...
Thanks everyone. We don't seem to have neighborhood cats or strays... not that I've ever seen and we've been here for 7 years now. But you're right, something spooked him. We added another box and so far he seems to be doing well.
We've kept the bathroom door shut though because the smell...
