My cat has FIP developed a infection in her fur.

Depending on the country where one lives, this med hasn't been authorized by drug authorities yet, so I doubt that any pharmacy can handle it. In nearly all the countries of the world, you have to resort to the black market.

Dearest Cleo Back to her Mother

I'm so sorry to read that your Cleo left you after only three years with you, though I'm sure that they have been the most intense 3 years ever, filled with the highest form of love. She was so grateful for being taken home that day, and those eyes tell us that she loved you to bits. She will...

My cat has FIP developed a infection in her fur.

I'm not familiar with pills, but I know that there's a powder form of GS-441524, and it seems it can even be given in food? The burning-like reaction on the skin is a well known side effect of the GS injections, and it is reversible.

    mysterious cat injury

My guess is a kind of burning, both chemical or from a very hot object. It seems it was a circular object, sort of a donut, like an exhaust pipe from a car?

This time it happened to me - Missing cat

The two cats that I saw last night live in a house in a dead end street, so probably their owners are confident that no harm can come to those cats. There are other cats in the same street. Anyway, my street is a through traffic street, though with very light traffic. There are three or four...

Featured Need advice: cat lost appetite, fever, no diagnosis

I, too, lost a cat to FIP in 2013. I did my best against a monster, with no weapons at all.

This time it happened to me - Missing cat

It stopped raining a week ago, thank God. It's been summer-like in the last week, up to 80+ degrees F. Nearly all my flyers have gone, only a few, probably 20, still survive. Last night, shortly before midnight, I received a WhatsApp message with a video attached. Someone that I don't know (and...

Featured Need advice: cat lost appetite, fever, no diagnosis

One of my rainbow bridge cats took Onsior in the past due to joints ache, so I believe it is good pain killer and anti-inflammatory med. FIP is a disease that may be dormant in a cat. According to some studies, over 90% of cats are carrier of the virus (FCoV) that can stay dormant for the...

Featured Need advice: cat lost appetite, fever, no diagnosis

Did the vet run a protein electrophoresis test? When sudden symptoms like the ones you mentioned appear, my first thought goes to FIP.

This time it happened to me - Missing cat

I agree with you. But if I know this cat well, I'd say that she never travelled farther than 150 yards. Evidence of this is the fact that she was born in a yard that is about 100 yds from here, then moved to a house midway from there, and then she moved here. There are other houses in the area...

Help Combat Large Cat Torture Network

The link doesn't work, probably there's a mistake in the URL. EDIT: Ok, it works, you need to add an "a" at the end of the URL.

    One very swollen cheek

In my cases, the casts from the CT scan were included in the cost of the radiotherapy treatments. I'm in Italy, all prices are in euro. The CT scans were around €900 each. The curative treatment for the nasal carcinoma was around €5,000. Daily sessions, actually four days a week (Mon and Tue...

Radiation cancer therapy worth it? Side Effects?

My cat Lola had three cancers in her life. The first one was a nasal carcinoma, inside one of her nostrils, impossible to operate on. She was 11 years old. The oncologist presented me with three options: -Do nothing, 6 months to live top, with incredible pains and suffering. -Palliative...

    One very swollen cheek

I think I have to make a correction to my post. I realized my cat Lola had a mouth issue in the third week of September 2016, I was scared because I thought it was a carcinoma, the vets said it was a mouth infection/inflammation so they gave the cat a long course of antibiotics which didn't...

This time it happened to me - Missing cat

Today marks 28 days since my yard cat vanished. Not a sign of her since the last time I saw her. Nobody saw her since. I haven't found her dead, no report of findings from the local council, vets or police. The cat was healthy and happy, so she didn't go somewhere to die, as someone suggested...

    One very swollen cheek

I'm so sorry. Please consider the pain that your cat must be feeling and his quality of life. The treatment probably gave us some more weeks. At first, it seemed it worked a miracle, but a few weeks later I had to face reality. My cat survived 6 months and a half since diagnosis, and about 5...

    One very swollen cheek

My cat, in my avatar, had oral squamous cell carcinoma, she had it under her tongue. I had her quickly and promptly booked for a complete course of radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy. You will find a few cases in TCS of members who had to deal with this, and yes, it seems one of the most...

    One very swollen cheek

So sorry to read that your cat is experiencing such a bad issue. My first thought, when I read this, was that some tiny sharp foreign object pierced his inner cheek and the cheek got infected. I don't know if there's a specific test or scan to detect such a thing in a tissue, though.

    Bit of a mystery

Hopefully you had them look at the matter from a different perspective. I also hope all labs are done quickly and the vets are back to you soon and with an answer. We are here, waiting for next good news.

    Bit of a mystery

Don't need to be sorry, I know the anxiety and stress through rough times like this one. On my side, I know that I should have phrased my post differently, I'm sorry about that. Wish your cat the best, I hope you have good news soon.
