Here's the harness I selected, along with a "bungee leash" designed for kittens. Beware the dog ones because they are usually too firm and not elastic enough. And since it's stretchier, make sure the fabric around it is strong.

I got a second harness from Amazon, because I didn't like the way the first one fit. It's similar to the Hyendry mentioned above (size: xs). He's happily going for walks. I follow him for a bit, then ask him to follow me back.
So far so good. :-)
I find such a report laughable. My previous cat (Shadow) wasn't allowed on the bed since he was a tiny kitten. He still needed to learn my sleep schedule. He did, in a month. He did sleep on the bed if I was upset about something or in a bad mood (at his insistence, which ended up being fine...
A lot more people (vets and otherwise) are recommending not scruffing cats. Especially once they've passed the kitten stage. Here's one example:

I actually got the automated box with the replaceable litter tray. In a week of using it, pretty much no smell after a few minutes from raking. The "usable area" is always kept clean by the rake, and my kitten is fine with it - other than to check on how well the rake is cleaning it...
Hey all, thanks for the great replies! Gorgeous cats in those pics! I've already picked up a harness (same style as someone above recommended) and have a vest style one also on order. I did get a "cat leash" but have decided not to use it, and instead am waiting on a bungee cat leash (the one I...
My kitten Peanut is about 16 weeks old. It took me about 5 minutes (on his first day home) to teach him how to play fetch (and no time after that to teach him how to play catch). He's a very attentive and very friendly kitten though. My previous cat (was an adult at the time) learned on his own...
Hey all, not sure if this is the correct forum, but I was considering leash training my indoor cat, to allow limited outdoor walks on leash only, as well as easier vet visits where I could leash him once there.
Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences or opinions on limited leash walks for...
Hey all,
Recently, I adopted a rescue kitten. I met him and one of his brothers (another solid black kitten adopted by someone else). They're 16 weeks old. They are both very intelligent, very friendly and very very well tempered. They know not to use claws already.
Attached are pics of his 2...
