Which nail grinder is best for cats?
I have one that is 12lbs and the other is around 8 pounds - I don’t know if their weight matters but they’re both large cats (not heavy just long).
I would like a grinder that is cat friendly meaning that I don’t want one that’s loud with lots of...
I recently purchased the Coway Mighty hh1512 air purifier because it has good reviews, covers 300+ feet and is reasonably priced. I'm not really sure if it's doing anything. I don't have allergies but I have family members who visit once in awhile and they have very bad allergies to cats.
How...
I do brush them, although not daily.

So I’m feeling very guilty...
I rescued Dusty 2.5 years ago when he was 8 weeks old and one day when I was playing with him he had a bad fall and hit his head. I’m wondering, can that fall be the reason why he gets scared of every noise that it causes him to literally jump? Is it my fault...
I have 2 long haired cats and they shed like crazy. I've been searching for an air purifier that will help in collecting all the hair that's in the air and everywhere. I did purchase the Hamilton Beach true pet purifier that does a really good job collecting hair but it's a small unit and I'd...
So I'm moving into my mothers house which is swamped with all the furniture from my house and her house. It's crazy, things are all over the hallways, tables, just about every nook and cranny is filled with something. I want to bring my cats, Dusty 2.5 years old and CoCo 1 year old, to the new...
So funny and so true!
BTW, I'm happy to report to everyone that although it took 3 days, Dusty finally figured out how to use the ball with the food in it. For 3 nights I didn't leave any food out, just the ball with food, and by the third night he did it! He's definitely not thrilled with it...
Dusty was smart as a kitten. I would buy him toys where he'd have to figure out how to get the food or toy out of a closed spot and he would do it with no problem, it was too easy for him. Now he's 2.5 years old and a little chubby so I bought one of those balls where you put the food, then the...
First about the biting or any action that you don't want them to do.
Normally when I talk to my cats I speak in a very loving sweet voice but when they're doing something bad I forcefully say "eh-eh" and that stops them. Of course it takes a little training but they learn that that's different...
I use Natures Miracle calming spray to calm my little ones. I spray it on me, and the towel that I wrap them in and in the car to take them to the vet. If your vet is coming to you then I'd spray it around the house, especially where the vet is going to be seeing them, on you and on the vet...
WOW! Thanks all for the replies... Both my cats had all 3 vaccines their first year. Again, the vet is recommending a yearly exam and the fzrcp(?), Feline Leukemia and Rabies, although since they're indoors I don't have to get all 3. The rabies vaccine is not a requirement where I live but I did...
I have a 2.5 year old rescue, Dusty, that had all his vaccines when he was a kitten and then again when he was a 1.5 years old. He is an indoor cat but we added another rescue in October of 2016 to the family and she, CoCo, came with an upper respiratory infection that we treat daily with...
I brush them just about daily and found the BEST brush! I have the furminator as well as other brushes but the Pet DeShedding brush is incredible. It sells under many different brand names on Amazon so I just bought the one for $10.
We do vacuum, clean fans etc every other week but it's...
I'm having a problem with cat hair that floats in the air. I've read some good reviews about Hamilton Beach Trueair Pet Purifier and I'm thinking about trying it but I'm open to other suggestions.
Thank you
What's the best way to get rid of cat hair in the air?
If you recommend a machine, please let me know the brand and name of it.
Thank you

FYI - I tried the 3-4" of litter and so far it's been successful! I watched her go poo two times today and she didn't step in it. Let's hope that was the problem.
Thank you cat people!

Aww... you're very lucky. I've had seven cats over many years and only one slept in my arms in the spoon position and liked to sit on my lap while watching tv. Sometimes I wonder if cats takes on their owners personality.

Thank you! They are so sweet together. They're not always together... but very often. It's so funny to watch them - I really lucked out when I introduced them to each other. I did a slow introduction where they were kept apart...
I've never used that much litter. I'm going to put more in right now to see how that works.
Thank you.

I have the 2 of largest litter boxes out there 2 and I use "precious cat premium clumping litter".
I notice that when she goes to the bathroom she takes one of her legs and props it up against the ledge of the the litter box as though she needs the support. Maybe she has a problem going to the...
