yesterday - friday april 26 - our dear friend honeykat closed his eyes for the last time. he was over 20 years old, and has been with my husband since just before our relationship began.
i had trouble writing this as i found i kept writing about all his health issues and all the care and...
we got a few more wonderful days with HK where he was walking, eating, talking to us and involved. we're both so grateful to spend those days with him.
as of wednesday night he's not eating, can't walk, pees and poops all over himself - which we don't mind cleaning him but it upsets him. he's...
probably not. there are reportedly counterfeits of a lot of products, and it's all about the distributor, not the retailer who buys in good faith.
some people have told me it's more likely to be the real deal from chewy, petsmart or petco, but i don't know if that's true or not. for what it's...
that's right - and we stopped giving it to him in the middle of a bottle, so when we started him back up on it, we started in the middle of the same bottle. my husband thinks we stopped for 6 weeks.
it worked on our feral, but it doesn't work noticeably on HK. our vet's office always has them plugged in in the exam rooms, and they feel it works on enough cats to make it worth having them there.
our vet's practice was bought by lesser vets who seem to be selling off part of their equipment. i know they don't treat the cats as well as the staff members treated the cats when the excellent vet was in charge and her secondary vet loved every cat.
that being said, you have given me an...
awwww!
HK (see avatar) is a cat who always wants to be near us, wants lots of petting and cuddles, and he even takes me up for petting up till recently.
dr. bronner peppermint or is there a mellower flavor?
it looks like we'll have to start giving HK baths from here on out. he can no longer always get up on his own, and things can get messy before he calls for me and i rush in.
we had a similar experience with a very large owl years ago.
i would think that hawks could get through the regular mesh used over average windows - something to consider when making a catio. we have hawks all over the place, and they seem pretty powerful although i've seen groups of three or...
none...
but we have the guy in my avatar :)
oddly years ago my then-sister-in-law gave me a statue of an owl for mothers' day, an owl figurine for my birthday and for christmas, a crystal owl. from there on, things went crazy! everyone saw them, thought "oh, patti collects owls", and...
both.
originally he was very deficient, but once a month of higher potency injections was up, his results were close to normal, so she lowered the dose - he now gets a lower dose than they usually offer. if we waited more than 5 days to give him his B12, he would have trouble standing because...
needles horrify me. luckily my husband isn't as weirded out about them because we do sub-qs as well as B12 although years ago when we first started giving HK sub-q fluids, we both shuddered our way through the process. HK gets the B12 every 4 to 5 days, btw.
