Missed you guys! Popping back in to update you guys! A while back I merged my group (which was just me and a few fosters really) with Appalachian Peace Paws Rescue! We are full swing into kitten season, I hope to be more active again! I have two moms with newborns right now, a blind feral cat...
So sorry to hear this! It sounds like its possible the kittens were inbred...
As others have said spaying the momma is in her best interests! Back to back litters are hard on their bodies.
How is momma and babies doing?
About the vet vaccinating momma while pregnant... Rabies vaccines are ok when pregnant, it is recommended to wait but it is a killed virus, and they are safe for pregnant cats and required by law so some clinics will give them. The combo vaccines (distemper) are...

Fall is here! And with that comes this beautiful weather! And the leaves changing! I love when it is slightly chilly and to cuddle up under the electric blanket (the cats LOVE the heated blanket too!)
I think your kitten may be older than you are thinking... his eyes look green? Which would indicate 6 weeks old. The weight also indicates around 6 weeks! They usually weight about a pound for every month their first several months and it looks like he is a pound and a half? Thank you for...
Wow! So happy that all 8 pulled through! We had a litter of 8 once and all pulled through, but not without a LOT of supplementing! They all look very healthy!
