I can only testify from personal experience. I am not saying that cats are not being harmed. Now my vet carries Cheristin and I mentioned the horror some are going though and she agrees with me that some cats are hyper sensitive, just like some humans.

Could be an infection and needs to see a vet.

I had a cat that had the same thing but they were able to get it under control and we had to give a weekly medication if I am not mistaken.  It was long ago and sorry I am of little help.

The blood work should tell if it is a stroke or not.
