    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

Things are bad. He ended up with a urethral blockage and a bladder full of crystals and stones. He's now showing the same symptoms and he's losing hair and skin. But my dad having three major surgeries back to back and draining his 401k to pay for them has left us with nothing. I think I...

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

Hey there. Sorry, my notifications would not load. Portifoy is actually doing so much better - the little Buddha has even lost some weight. Now I have just been plagued with a ping pong of a URI virus among my babies. Sooo much careful quarantining, medicating, and syringe feeding.

    URI dilemma

Hey there, So my family and I have been protecting and feeding a gorgeous stray we call Church (not that his personality matches that of the Pet Sematary cat). Recently, we took him inside as he injured his front leg, and was being beaten up rather fiercely outside. He's content being sheltered...

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

We were okay, thank you so much! Portifoy got another skin infection and is back on steroids. The vet hasn't given much info on how to stop his outbreaks- it's as if he's allergic to everything. Even the flea meds I try hurt him.

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

I think there's one in Tampa. The trick would be getting him there, should they want to see him first. I know I'm running out of options and ideas. Toss in my other sick cats to boot, and I'm ready to pull my hair out. Because they all see the same vet and I'm getting no response back.

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

I don't think there is. I hope not! Not really, there are limited vets in my area, he has a long history of issues and care, and two vets shunned me because I didn't go to Blue Pearl for my cat with cancer, Greg

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

Yeah. It's like he's looking into the sun all the time (he's not)

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

His sores are pretty much gone, but he's making weird faces and going bleary eyed on me. He's supposed to start a new regime and diet, but I can't get his vet to get back to me.

    Kitten's Sudden Behavior Change

I don't know, I thought it might be a growth thing, but it was like turning off a lightswitch. He was bouncing around all night and day and then...nothing. He peps up the twice a day he eats, which is gone in minutes, and he's polishing off multiple huge bowls of water

    Kitten's Sudden Behavior Change

He's actually eating and drinking so much more. He's always been a steady consumer, but now it's all he's hyped out about and it's all gone in minutes.

    Kitten's Sudden Behavior Change

Hey all So I have a 6 to 8 month old neutered kitten I rescued named Bandit. This dude was quite the energenic fireball and needed constant movement, interaction and stimulation. Then, last week it was like a switch turned him off. All he really does is lay there flopped over or sleep. His...

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

Can a MRSA infection spread internally? I thought he was having a hairball issue, but it's a breathing issue with him now. He's either gargle wheeze-hacking or snortle blowing. No discharge or anything. So I'm freaking out and his vet can't see him until tomorrow morning.

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

They FINALLY got his results to me: nothing showed on the radiographs. His bloodwork showed elevated Cholesterol, triglycerides, amalyse and billburin levels - nothing definitive though. He IS having an allergic reaction to something (somehow) and got a MRSA infection in his wounds. So he's...

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

Their vet had a family emergency, so it was a drop off appointment. Not a one of us can pick him up before they close, so sleepover for him.

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

Port FINALLY got in today, looking like a burn victim. Full X rays and a broad blood panel and urinalysis were done. He's staying overnight. Hopefully, I'll also FINALLY have some answers soon.

    Portifoy's Bladder Issue

Portifoy has to go for new bloodworkand abdominal/chest X rays. He's knocking over his water container and essentially living in his litter box

    Odd Kitten Out

Yes, it's people lol. Boy oh boy is she a nervous nelly. She is from the same litter I believe...they all have the same belly spots. That's really good advice. I do show her via the other two that I mean no harm etc, but given her state of being, she probably needs a lot more work one on one etc

    Odd Kitten Out

She's kind of the runt. She's smaller than the other two and looks completely opposite of them

    Odd Kitten Out

I've had them a couple weeks, and they're about two months or so. There are two girls and a boy. The two that socialized well are a boy and girl. She gets along with them great- she was their guardian when we first took them in. She rarely tiffs at them - just if they are being grubby about...

    Odd Kitten Out

Hey, so my dad brought home three rescued strays near the feral stage. Two socialized well, although they are still a bit anxious. The third is still a hissing, swatting, skiddish mess. She never attacks, and will let me pick her up. But the growling, crying, and hiding is persistant. At times...
