ah yes I should probably mention, Helen is technically a boy, something we didn't find out till we went to get her spayed, but by that time the name Helen had stuck, and so had she/her pronouns
thank you for your reply!
i will try the bell collar, see how she handles it, and look into a contained outdoor area.
good points about other reasons for the quail deaths, i didn't think of those and now feel bad for blaming my lil girl :(

thank you for your reply!
but im afraid having her as an in door cat is not a possibly. She was found as a wild kitten, so has all her wild instincts still and hates being cooped up inside. We also live in the country, so there are no other dogs around, or any neighborhood cats, also here in...
(unsure if this is the right thread, please redirect me if I am wrong!)
A few months back, some quail on our property had 12 little chicks. There is now only one left, and my cat Helen is the only explanation.
To stop this happening again, re-homing Helen is now a very realistic solution, one...
My cat did the exact same thing-i found her as a wild kitten, raised her and she had bonded very closely with me, and would spend a whole day sleeping on my bed and sometimes would even forget about meals she was in such a deep sleep. She never stayed the night on my bed, as she has to go...
Hey guys! a few months ago, as you might remember from this thread, you guys all helped me loads with catching a wild kitten. Well, turns out we kept her! she is now about 5/6 months old, and has been to the vet a couple of times for check ups and vaccinations. she will be de-sexed next month...
Thanks to everyone that helped me! we will be fostering the kitten for 2 weeks till she's 8 weeks old then she'll be going to the s.p.c.a to find a permanent home
thank you all so much

yes! one problem...will our local humane society (s.p.c.a) take the kitten? we can't keep it :( i'm keeping her in the cage with bedding food and water, as we don't have a room very suitable to house her until she's taken to the s.p.c.a. I covered her with blanket.
thanks!

i got her! where the food was, the scent was being pushed in to opposite direction of the kittens little hidey-hole. i moved to trap with a bowl of kitten food to behind the wind, by her hidey-hole, then leaned against a tree pretending to be asleep. i saw her edge her way and she started...
i held the door open with string, but the kitten still didn't eat the food in there i think she's still a bit shy of it. desperately want to catch her now! throwing a towel over her wouldn't work as of the long tangled grass and pine trees, so i suppose i'll just have to wait until she gets...
it's now very dark out- i attempted to trap her by leaving a small trail of food into the trap then a tiny bit of food in the bowl we usually feed her in at the door, then because our trap works by a hook with food being pulled on i put a piece of casserole meat from the ridge rolled in the...
